paradisamide is a great product to start with
Need your help gentleman with rhubarb. I can't find oils anywhere and from what I heard it's a combo of syth. Latest Aedes and CDG Rhubarb is my life during the summer, after years of wearing CDG R. I think I'm ready to work on formula myself. What synth components will I need to get a fresh rhubarb note?
Rhubafuran, Rhubaflor, Rhubofix
Styrallyl Acetate (aka Methyl Phenyl Carbinyl Acetate). For the green effect a very small amount of 2-methoxy-3-isoButyl Pyrazine (use a 0.01% solution, no stronger it is VERY powerful). This chemical is the smell of green peppers, and is found in Galbanum and Petitgrain oils.
Paradisimide is an interesting juice but it gives warm tropical vibe, and I'm looking for cold peppery rhubarb with a green note that David described
Styrallyl Acetate, all I get is direct manufacturers that only deal with big orders. I hate the fact that most of the new or not so new interesting synth's are not available.

As an aside I always find that Rhubafuran etc. smell more of Grapefruit than Rhubarb; but that's just me.
Some other chemicals you could try; Vetikol Acetate and Cressanther.
Think outline's in USA, David.

I Googled "Styrallyl Acetate suppliers" and found a few who would supply small amounts. Arkpharmanc and Penta, for example. It is possible if you look hard enough.
Thanks will be looking harder then I did.
rhubaflor AKA rhubarb pyran is harder to find...
I see you are right about trying to find the Pyran, It will take some digging when I need more...

Placed an order with Vigon last week. Can't wait. Now I have to try placing an order with TGSC.
Thank you Paul so much!
Just one more synth I need help with - ambranum. Thank you again for your time and help.

Google generally finds what you want to know.
ambranum, ambranum suppliers gives me nothing.
Don't know Ambranum, but in a google search, the very first link gave me what you seek, why not try it yourself...?
I had never heard of this material either, but like Paul I put the name into Google, and up it came.
This is what I get :
Synthetic, Natural Materials Highlighted in Firmenich, Vigon ...

I searched Vigon and firmenich also got reference to ventos catalog
Ventos ambranum - few spanish links with no options to buy.
It's not easy
ambranum is beautifully used in Opus VI. Love from the first sniff. Should work great in composition with rhubarb co2 frankincenses, pink and black pepper. Once I have it together I'll see where it takes me
Thank you gentlemen and so sorry for my stupidity this is my first steps in diy perfume.

That first link says that Vigon sells it, and it is a Firmenich Product, just call Vigon and ask a Customer Service rep how much it is. They may even send you out a sample...
Since it is a recent link in P&F, I'm pretty certain that Vigon would still carry it, although not everything they carry is on their website price listing, just call and ask.
Thanks Paul. Will give Vigon a call.
Hope it goes well for you - good luck
Just a quick add to this - cyclamen aldehyde also works well with styrallyl acetate to contribute to a rhubarb note - I remembered just now because I was compounding a fragrance that uses that very accord . . .
Got in touch with Jennifer from Vigon, should get ambranum shortly.
Thanks Chris. Vigon has cyclamen aldehyde. Sounds like a great note.
