    Default Loewe Solo Absoluto

My only previous experiences with the Loewe house were 7, which I enjoyed, and Esencia, which I absolutely loved.
Today I received this as a gift, and I must say at first I was a bit underwhelmed.

Unlike what I had come to expect from the Loewe house, this is a much more generic offering.
It opens with a citrus blast, which is then followed by a flowery, slightly powdery warmth.

What stuck out to me was despite being essentially "generic" in its formulation, it has a certain beauty and sobriety that is almost paradoxical in its genre.
I think today was the first time I've worn something in the genre and felt comfortable with it.

If you think you need a less vulgar and gauche take on the whole modern Carolina Herrera/Paco Rabanne angle, it's worth checking out.

Bummer. I recently grabbed 7 and Esencia as well and went crazy for them. I was hoping everything else from this house would be just as good. Oh well, thanks for sharing.

I had similar experiences with Loewe scents as you mentioned, trying and buying Essencia and 7 and trying/passing all the Solo line.
Now I just want to know your opinion with 7 Natural if you've tried it?
    Thank you...
My current top 10 (with no particular order):
    Givenchy Xeryus Rouge
    Dior Homme Intense
    Dior Fahrenheit
    Costume National Scent Intense
    Terre d'Hermes EDT
    CK Eternity for Men
    Creed Aventus
YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme (Old Tin Can)
    Thierry Mugler Pure Malt
    Costume National Homme

I like Absoluto and do not think it is generic. Actually, along with the original Solo, it has a unique smell which one doesnt come across too often. I could pick out the Solo signature even in the midst of hundreds of frags.

7 Natural is a winner for me. Prefer it to the original 7. 7 Natural has deceptive projection, as others can smell it even when the wearer thinks it has faded. This happened to me recently, and the person who made the observation bought it shortly afterwards.

I've never tried 7 Natural. Solo Absoluto is actually the first Loewe flanker I've ever tried.

Personally never found anything from this house I've tried and liked.
