Hello everyone, Chanel #22 for me today. Best to all.
"I felt something so intense, I could only express it in a perfume." - Jacques Guerlain
If the weather man did not lie, we are fixing to have some glorious weather here too -- 60F (+15C) and thunderstorms. We'll see. More snow on Monday though. No wonder all of us here are feeling slightly off -- this weather will make anybody insane.
Etro Royal Pavillon today.
We are not getting the good weather here in the West yet! It is
a chilly, grey morning. I am rehearsing all afternoon for a Benjamin
Britten Centenary concert then performing with my choir in the
evening. Ambre et Vanille will keep me calm and fragrant.

Hello, everyone!
Here's our tranquil view this morning ...another peaceful, perfect day at the beach. We'll be heading back home later this afternoon, but I'm enjoying our last few hours of sand and surf in Chanel Beige.
Y'all have a wonderful day!
Science is not only compatible with spirituality, it is a profound source of spirituality. When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages, when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual. ..Carl Sagan
E., I don't know where that beach is, but it is so pretty.
Another day of showing the house. We must find something to do with ourselves. Going to brunch, and then...??? It's cool here today, only going up to the 60s F. It's sunny, though, and dry, so it's a perfect day for getting out and about. Everything is in glorious bloom here: azaleas of all colors, tulips, wisteria, lilacs, all sorts of wildflowers, and I even saw some actual violets growing in clumps by the side of a road near a drainage ditch (I think they like water, like willows?), the kind with those beautiful dark green heart shaped leaves and deep violet blooms. A riot of color everywhere. My SotD is Violette in Love by Parfums de Nicolai.
^ It's Florida's western Gulf Coast, not far from Destin and Fort Walton Beach, but not nearly as populated. The beaches are very clean and pristine due to a protective sandbar about a mile out in the water, so although it's not very good for collecting shells, there's usually no unsightly dead seaweed or other debris littering the beach either, so it is quite lovely. That sandbar is what gives it the name "The Emerald Coast", as it creates a ribbon of green (more turquoise than emerald, actually) when seen from above.
eta - ((cello)), I just noticed your post in yesterday's thread and I'd like to give you a big hug, too. Whatever it is you're going through, I sure hope things are working out for the best.![]()

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

we have seen the enemy...and he is us.-Pogo
Could you please tell us how you liked it? I am very curious as it is a collaboration between my two most favorite perfumers. Thank you.
Evangeline I know exactly the place you are talking about. We used to live in the Fort Walton Beach and I was very fortunate to know how breathtaking those beaches are.
Funny story - Mr. officially crossed over to the dark side when he appropriated my bottle of Amethyst by Lalique for his own use. But his subconscious of the pick up driving, beer guzzling Midwestern American eventually caught up with him and he was taunted in his dreams by similar individuals for wearing woman's perfume. I can't say he didn't deserve it for stealing yet another bottle from me.
Iris 39 today. There is something so calming and grounding about its vegetable garden whimsy...

Evangeline, that beach looks heavenly!

Wearing Cartier XIII on one arm and a mystery leather/oud scent on the other. Label faded. Hoping kind/generous swapper who scent can remember and clue me in about that one.
Mystery scent was Oud Ispahan. I think I prefer Leather Oud. Top notes of Oud Ispahan turn very sour on my skin initially. Hoping the patchouli and rose will soften it shortly.![]()

Plunking on a Kindle is as convenient as tapping out Morse code, so I'll be alphabetically conservative.
For a host of different reasons, kisses to Lilybelle, Cello, ExtremeK, and Jon. Hugs to all.
Whole weekend in Bond Mothers -- the only scent popular with DH, DD and me.
{{{{{{{{{cello}}}}}}}}}
No scent yet, asthma been acting up with all of the tree pollen.
I work later tonight & will pick out something wonderful to wear.
