Buy yourself a nice dress shirt. Macy's has nothing worth owning IMO.
Pure Havane or 1 million.
"If you enjoy the fragrance of a rose, you must accept the thorns which it bears."
Anything under 100 can't go on this mans skin, even if he loves it. Sad!lol
It would help if we had an idea of the type of fragrances that you like, other than just Bleu de Chanel.
If I were going to suggest a versatile fragrance, it would be Gio. If you'd like something a little more clean and classy, it would be Prada Amber. More projection and a little more smoky - Prada Amber Extreme. However, if you like the Chanel line, Edition Blanche is an excellent choice and the best of the Allure line IMO.
Hi, Johnnyani, Good Thread!
Be sure to list your wardrobe soon. You know, what you currently have, what you used to have, which samples you have. That way, before you start really spending, you can budget and plan by checking out your wardrobe. Also, guys who might trade with you on Basenotes can view your wardrobe, provide suggestions and make quality swaps. That provides some of the best quality acquisitions. But congrats for scoring a Macy's gift card! I'd shoot for Angel A*Men Pure Havane (I have Angel for ladies' of course) or D & G Light Blue Living in Stromboli (provided you don't already own a similar aquatic). HAPPY SHOPPING AT MACY'S!
My Ultimate Top 5:
24 Platinum (2012)
Burberry London (2006)
Eau des Baux (2006)
Arpege pour Homme (2005)
While you may call it boring, I call it versatile. It goes well anywhere with anything and it's hard to make people tap out from it, from those who dramatically overspray. If you're in a business meeting, do you want to be sitting across from or next to someone who's bathed in Le Male, A*Men or 1 million?
I would go either for Aramis 900 (resinous patch), or for A*Men, in the leather version if they still have it.
They sell things by the liter here?
The ones I like from Macy's are:
La Nuit de L'Homme
I wouldn't say Macy's has nothing worth owning, but it's the last place I go for fragrances. If yours has Dior, check out Fahrenheit. Don't be fooled by the gasoline opening though. There's so much more to it than that. Every man should own one very manly scent, and they don't get much more manly than Fahrenheit.
You can't go wrong with YSL L'homme. It's not exciting, but it's nice. La Nuit certainly has a ton of fans (though I'm not one of them. Again, in my opinion, it's just nice, but not something I'd be excited to buy).
If you're trying to use a gift card and can't find anything at the fragrance counter, definitely check out their clothes. You can sometimes find really great stuff heavily discounted. I picked up an awesome spring jacket last year, marked down from $78 to $23... and I'd been considering buying it at full price. SCORE! I also got an excellent pair of shoes in their clearance section for around $30 a few years ago. Every now and then, you can do really well at Macy's.

Oh, and +1 on what steve0580 said about AdG:

"Follow your nose. It always knows." -- Toucan Sam
Pure Havane. And some socks and underwear while you're at it.
Another vote for Fahrenheit. Also, Cartier Declaration is fantastic. For me, Pure Havane is too sweet and a bit synthetic, but it's not bad overall.
What about the new Gio...Essenza?
+1 on Pure Havane since it is a "Limited Edition" Also look at Mont Blanc Legend and Chrome Summer Edition 2013 since they are also limited
And looking at your wardrobe I would also suggest:
Dior Homme Sport
Prada Luna Rossa
And these may not be for you or right for summer, but they are worth looking into:
Armani Code Ultimate
John Varvatos Platinum Edition

1.35oz is $78
2.5oz is $108
6.08oz is $168
The juice is good, but no where near being good enough to pay $57/oz for the small bottle
-Cologne is the only fashionable thing that fits me! (Me, circa 1997-present)
Try Fahranheit, Versace PH, YSL L'Homme and YSL La Nuit de L'Homme
My all time favorite:
For me, Dior's Fahrenheit's the only one that's really worth a sniff. I personally wouldn't wear it (it's obnoxiously loud and dominating), but its construction and concept are spectacular. Even twenty-five years after its release, it's still lightyears ahead of contemporary scents in terms of creativity and imaginative rendering.
A wild card option: Varvatos' Artisan. Like most of Macy's line, it's a chemical freakshow of a fragrance, but its smart articulation of citrus and ginger elevates it above the rest of the tragedies they sell, and into the realm of actual creativity.
Aside from that, I'd go for the shirts.
