    Default Questions for fragrance lovers

    How much $$$ have you spent on your fragrances so far ? US$100 ? 500 ? 1000 ? 3000 ? .

If you have so many of them what's your plan in the future ?. Keep buying ? Selling ? Trading ?.

Will you be able to finish them all ?. Probably not

Spend quite a lot. Of course, for now I will keep buying. At this rate, I will never finish them all.

    Me neither, first world problems!

I guess I've spent about $3k total on my current collection of ~15 bottles.

Somewhere around $3500-$4000 on my 40+ scents. I'll keep collecting. I occasionally sell them off when I get bored with them but most I have now I really like.

I have probably spent between $3-4K. Which is way too much IMO. I love it but that's quite a bit of money. I'm filtering through the fragrances that I'm not head over heels for and putting them up on eBay. It kind of sucks to lose some of the pieces but there's no sense in keeping them on the shelf while others can use them up while I throw some money back into the pocket book.

I must have spent a value between $7000 and $10,000. I am planning on reducing my collection.

I spent like $800 so far, miniscule compare to the posters above . I think I have enough... no more spending for several years to come .

I've learned that 20 to 25 bottles is just about right for me. It gives me enough for different seasons and different weather. Other than a few that I keep for special occasions, I sell or trade away whatever I don't wear.

Probably not, and that's fine. I also probably won't wear out every shirt I own, or every jacket, and I've never worn out a pair of glasses frames. And that's fine.
In my swap list: Gucci Pour Homme (2003) BNIB.
I'm looking for Reflection Man or Andy Warhol (silver bottle w/Andy's face)

    Who cares?
    You only live once.
There are heaps of things I own which will belong to someone else when I drop dead - I can't see the point of trying to ration what I own so that they are all expended by the date of my departure.

    1. I've probably spent $1000 so far. I swap what I don't like.

    2. I'm going to swap what I don't like and buy what I do like.

    3. I'll probably use up most of everything, because if I'm not using it, I swap it.

Over the years, probably somewhere between 5-6,000. It's an art to me, smelling good is just a bonus. I doubt I will ever use up everything, and I am not even close to capping off my collection. Still have a lot more to buy and a lot more to try.

Anything between a few hundreds and a few thousands (if calculated EUR/GBP/USD), also taking into account that the value of a fragrance might depreciate over time or, on the contrary, to have bought some hidden gem during sales more or less under the price I may have been willing to pay.

Regarding future perspective: I am not planning to follow a too exact pattern or a too precise figure (possibly with the exception of too extremely high or low prices), but try to simply focus on what I like, even if it's still sketchy. Whenever I start to feel that a fragrance that I don't own yet lasts, feels and above all smells good on my skin after a series of multiple separate testings (again, not following an exact figure, far more a personal sensation), I try to buy it. Maybe not immediately, maybe it's going to spend quite a while on my wish list, but eventually I tend to get most of what can be purchased.

Probably around 6,000 over the last 5 years. But I decant, sell and trade non stop so the number off the decant sells into more decants etc prob has this figure higher...
