Default Musk, some sort of wood, and Vetiver

I have noticed I gravitate to these notes on those scented waxes like Scentsy. I already have two bottles of Encre Noire.

Does anyone know of something along those lines that is exceptional? I'd like to try a different take on this combo...

Black Afgano is a good one.

Try Etro Vetiver, Frederic Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire, and perhaps Timbuktu.

No vetiver, but Brecourt Esprit Mondain is a nice wood/musk. Esprit Mondain is worth a try if you're not dead set on the vetiver, it does have greens notes with tarragon.

Very nice and has more of the muskiness you're after as compared with either Sycomore or Vetiver Extraordinaire.
Well, it's cheaper than therapy... edit: No it's not...

Oddly enough, Le Labo Rose 31 does all that (some rose would have been nice as well, but you can't have everything...).

Good suggestions. Other good vetiver-wood-musk combos are:

Mona di Orio Vetyver (vetiver and cedar with a very distinct ginger note, light on the musk)
Diptyque Vetyverio (vetiver, cedar and musk with a lot of citrus)
Atelier Cologne Bois Blonds (vetiver, wood and little bit of musk under lots of neroli)
Serge Lutens Iris Silver Mist (very much an iris frag - you gotta like that note - but with a gorgeous base of vetiver, cedar, musk and sandalwood)

For a different take - Frederick Malle French Lover - a green vetiver with incense, pepper and woods, with a hint of musk - it is very green though - quite unlike Encre Noir in that respect.

There are so many different musks out there now. But some that are vetiver centric and have other woods and light musk are:

    Ramon Monegal Umbra
    Yosh Sombre Negra
    Leonard Villoresi Uomo
Frederic Malle Bois d' Orage (+1)
    Cartier Declaration
    Declaration L' Essence
    Voyage de Hermes
Eau de Cartier Concentree pour homme

Ah yes, Cartier Declaration and Bois d'Orage (French Lover) are good recommendations as well.

Musk and vetiver in Declaration aren't particularly noticeable to my nose. But I think there are some, a very clean musk and some vetiveril - the basic molecule of vetiver is used extensively to add a sense of freshness.

I would totally love Umbra, but think the tonka is putting me off in that one.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?

Hundreds of scents around... many Comme des Garçons (e.g. Blue Santal), The Different Company's Sel de Vetiver (nice "sea" twist), some Goutals, SixScents 2, Parfumerie Generale Coze 02 ("smoky" twist), Chanel's Sycomore, many recent Dior's (Eau Noire, Bois d'argent...).
