Default Narciso Rodriguez for Her: EDT or EDP?

My apologies if this thread has already been posted, but I was curious to know everyone's thoughts on Narciso Rodriguez for Her.

The EDT (released 2004) is a rich musk and orange blossom composition, while the EDP (released 2006) is centered around the same thick, silky musk with rose and patchouli.

Which fragrance do you prefer and why?

    I prefer the edp, why?

I prefer the idea of patchouli and rose. Also the edp is described as a chypre on the tester bottle. The back of the edt says fruity musk floral.

I like both, lots of musk in both, the EDT is long lasting and sweeter, the EDP is more feminine and delicate with a hint of rose and peach and patchouli.

I have both. Prefer epd as it sits closer to skin and is more comfortable for me to wear (reach for it more often), edt is more vivid and loud.

I also found that the EDT is longer lasting. This is definitely a case where the EDT and EDP are sibling compositions instead of different concentrations of the same fragrance.

I would go with "Other" if this option were included in your poll. Too much indigestable musk for this skin in either.

Fair enough--next time I will include "other" as an option.
I can see how the thick musk can produce a binary response; to some it is rich and heavenly!

I'm not sure if I understand the chypre classification. To me, the EDT is definitely a "fruity musk floral", but the EDP is a fruity musk floral on steroids. The EDP has a big, fruity rose note with fresh peach and plenty of musk, while the patchouli is very subtle. The EDT has orange blossom paired with fruity musk. The fruit (peach, maybe mandarin) isn't the bright, juicy "fresh" kind, it's more like fruit jam and light amber.
