Morning All,
Glorious Spring day here - hope the sun is shining where you are, too.
Had a hugely enjoyable night at the opera, but was saddened to awake to the news that Richie Havens had passed. A long time musical hero of mine, requiescat in pace..

Oxford & Cambridge today.
Best to all.

"I felt something so intense, I could only express it in a perfume." - Jacques Guerlain
Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Good morning !. Glad to see you are wearing something patriotic today, G

LadyM, I tested Roja Dove Scandal EdP earlier this morning, did not know it was your SotD. Soft but long-lasting, white floral bouquet, with sort of boring (aka predictable/reliable/unpretentious/classy) dryout, very pleasant overall.
If a good Samaritan on a John Deere were to come and scoop us up, I would not chase him away today. It will probably get all muddy tomorrow.
Anyway, my SotD is Hermes Faubourg 24, not delicate.

Bonjour Mesdames!

Good morning, everyone -
I'm in Priscilla Presley's Roses and More. Y'all have a great day!
Science is not only compatible with spirituality, it is a profound source of spirituality. When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages, when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual. ..Carl Sagan
I'm wearing a scent that isn't in the database- Body Shop Amber Oud, which is a very fizzy and bright amber, which for some reason I can't explain makes me really hungry.
'I suggest we learn to love ourselves before it's made illegal.'
It's been raw and breezy, and is threatening rain now but at least we don't have snow any more, so I'm not complaining!
SotD is Brin de Réglisse from a sample. My lavender kick goes on....

Good morning, good smelling people.

I was amused the other day when my 6yo came up to me and we had this exchange:
"Pie is a homophone. Because it's that cake and also it's that number, that number that has to do with circles. What is that number?"
"Three point one four something"
"That's what Jasmine said!"
I am sure they learned *homophone* in kindergarten. But Pi?
Ladymurasaki, that is a great photo! It tells the whole story (or the first chapter of it anyway).
Happy St. George's Day to our friends in England!
I am reading Tilar J. Mazzeo's The Secret History of Chanel No. 5, and it has me craving Chanel No. 5 in the worst way! So this morning it is a vintage version of Chanel No. 5 cologne mist for me.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts yesterday. We are pumping pumping pumping. I laughed when I saw one of the businesses and library who are complaining about the 2" of water in their basement. We were approaching 4', spread over 13,000sf. That's a lot of water!
It's raining and cold again. I agree with everyone that Spring is fighting to arrive. I am wearing the cozy Absolue por le Soir. Honestly, one small spritz of this and I can smell the warmth, but it doesn't feel skanky to me. Some people have called it inappropriate for work, and I suppose if I wore a bunch more it may be. But as it is, it's kind of a warm skin scent to me.
Jon, that picture of the Iris field yesterday was amazing!!
PerfumedLady, thank you so much for the offer of a sample. I will send you a PM. I'd love to try that one.

Lol, lilybelle, I've just finished my fourth re-reading of that book and we're (sort of) scent twins today! No.5 EDT for me today. Such an entertaining read, always gives me the craving too.
Happy St. George's day to our celebrating friends!
Just saw you pop in up there, elizrj! Yes, just message me; will be peeking in here again later!
Good morning, all. Chanel 31 rue Cambon for me again today.
God afternoon.

Sampling Gothic III by Loree Rodkin. White florals, amber and musk.
Hi everyone! I've been gone for a couple of days, I had appointments in Rochester again. Everything is going great and don't need to see the doctors there for a year. Interesting drive down and back though, we hit snowstorms both ways, got a little scary at times, but we made it. My son went with me this time, thank goodness he's a good driver and it was really nice to spend some extra time with him.
Wearing Agent Provocateur Petale Noir this morning.

I can relate 30 Roses - I, like you, have been craving lavender also. It sort of comes over me, ever so often & I can't explain it. I don't have a lot of lavender full bottle scents (well...I have three or four lol) but I make do with samples and bottles. That Hermes is so nice, isn't it? I am sort of considering one of those honking big plastic bottles of Agua Lavanda Puig & the shower gel to match. It's so affordable!

Good afternoon, & a Happy St. George's Day to all!
lt's a glorious day here too, with temperatures in the 20s; proper "t-shirt weather"!
l wanted to finish my sample of La Tulipe this morning, but couldn't get the darn thing to spray. lt's a manufacturer's sample, so l can't just remove the spray mechanism, but there's enough in there for at least one more wearing. l'll attack it with some pliers later, l think.
lnstead l finished my sample of Jacinthe et Rose, & topped it off with some Stella Rose Absolute.
SOTE to be decided...

I agree with you, Twolf. It's a safe scent, I think. Office friendly, you might say and it has a classic, vintage vibe to it.
