Default Need Italian summer scent advice....

What would one recommend to wear while on the Amalfi Coast during the summer in Italy? The only three I'm considering is Creed MI, Creed Aventus, or Tom Ford Neroli Portofinio. What scent other than these 3 would you prefer? Thanks!

Either of the first two would be fine.

Just don´t wear Neroli Portofinio and you will be fine.

A fresh eau de cologne would certainly be appropriate (Chanel, Guerlain, even Neroli portofino), but you'd need to reapply through the day, as they don't last long. Otherwise, the traditional masculine perfume is a fresh herbal (in the tradition of Pino Silvestre), so something like Tuscany per uomo.

    Enjoy your holiday!

Italy gets darn hot in summer. Your scents will be fine for evening wear, but probably only Aventus will last if you are doing the tourist thing and walking around a lot all day. I tend to go for long lasting fresh designer scents on hot days - Chrome, Laguna and Diesel Plus Plus have been my longest lasting ones, whereas most others conked out on me those hot days.

Curiously, it was only after my fourth visit to Italy and on my way home, that I was reading an article in a flight magazine, where I discovered that Diesel is an Italian brand - with its headquarters in the city I'd been living in.
    Cheers,
    Renato

Great recommendations! I'm also kicking around the idea of taking my Creed GIT. I know it is Green Irish Tweed, but I feel it too might be a great summer coastal scent also. What do you think?

Another vote for the classic Acqua di Parma Colonia. It's been around since 1916 for a reason.

Don't bring sand to the beach. Don't wear something Italian or with an Italian name. Wear something American. Italians like American stuff.

Any perfume you want, but... with a *strong* citrus accent.
keep in mind italian summer is really HOT and many perfumes simply vanish after a few minutes....
(example: Eau Sauvage, M7 Fresh, Capucci pour homme....)
to avoid absolutely: heavy "oriental" perfumes, resin, incenses etc
