Default Do you have frags from the same house as your clothes?

It's an interesting question, and I do have or have had several examples of this. For starters, I have a Tommy Hilfiger dress shirt and a bottle of Tommy T. I also have a pair of Versace Intensive underwear, and have been on the fence for quite some time on whether to buy Versace Pour Homme to go with it.

In the past, I owned a bottle of Express Honor (which frankly was not bad), and I owned (and continue to own) clothes from Express - mostly graphic T-shirts, 1MX dress shirts, polos, and thermals. At one time, I also had a pair of Express jeans before I found that Buckle BKE jeans are better in every respect (haven't really tried Buckle's frags, though). I also own a pair of Armani Collezioni dress pants that I got as a gift and used to own a bottle of Armani's Acqua di Gio as well, my first true fragrant love. Maybe it's time for a bottle of Acqua di Gio Essenza or Armani Code Ultimate to go with the Armani pants?

At the same time, there are some clothing houses with frags that aren't to my tastes. While Polo Ralph Lauren polo shirts are widely regarded as the best in the business (and I have one), I can't say the same about Ralph Lauren fragrances. And some clothing brands prominent in my collection, like Levi's, lack any frags whatsoever.

Does anyone else have examples of matching their clothes to their frags?

Nope. But then again, I don't care who makes which frags. All I care about is how they smell.

By the way, I used to be a fan of Express 1MX shirts, but these days, they seem to be almost entirely solid colors. Yawn. I still have a $25 gift card there that I need to use.

I don't wear Express clothes anymore really. I think the quality and style is lacking nowadays, so I haven't purchased clothing from there in a while either. I do shop at Banana Republic every now and then, I did pick up a bottle of Black Walnut which my girlfriend really enjoyed. Also, she purchased me a bottle of Express Loyalty for Christmas which was surprisingly good.

Also have a Hugo Boss light jacket and hoodie (Hugo Boss Bottled is the only fragrance that I enjoy from their fragrance line.)

I have a calvin Klein suit, a few Armani dress shirts, but that is it.

The rest of my clothes are from Landsend.com or from Brooks Brothers.

I have lots of clothes from Boss, Hilfiger and Lauren. Mostly jumpers,
hoodies, regular shirts and pants. I loathe most of all their frags, though.
But however crappy I think their frags are, they make some fine clothes.
And then they're relatively cheap compared to the more high end brands.
Get the quality for a quarter of the price.

I have a couple of D&G items, too. D&G pour Homme is still delish!

I do have a deep marine wool jumper from Dior, my absolutely fave piece
of clothes - it's so damn comfortable - which I can match with any of my
Dior fragrances. But Dior Homme Intense is a match made in heaven.
My one and only YSL sweatshirt is best matched with Kouros.
I've just recently bought a pink Givenchy jumper from their 'ready to wear'.
I guess that Play Intense will match up the jumper the best.

The only coincidences is CK and even this wasn't a deliberate assorting, it far more just happened, without any deliberate plan.

All by coincedence but Gucci belt and Gucci Sport Cologne. Polo shirts and Polo Double Black Cologne. Calvin Klein shirts and Calvin Klein Obsession (still like this one).

    Nope.

For work, I wear Brooks Brothers shirts and primarily Oxxford, Armani, Hickey Freeman, or Hart Shaffner suits (not made of money -- bought 'em all on Ebay). Never owned a Brooks Brothers scent, haven't worn AdG or any other Armani in a while, and Hickey and Hart don't have scents of which I'm aware.

My dress shoes are Allen Edmonds, which doesn't have a scent.

I also like Charvet ties, but again, no scent of which I'm aware, or if there is I've never worn it.

I wonder when Creed will come out with a clothing line . . . . I can see the ad campaign now: "A return to our royal roots was warranted." It almost writes itself.

Actually, no. It may have something to do with the fact that I'm generally not crazy about what is generally known as "designer" clothing and I'm not terribly interested in designer frags either.

But if, say, Slumberhouse were to start making clothes...

Allen Edmonds did have a scent once - I sniffed it at their shop in Wisconsin next to the Allen Edmonds factory about a decade ago. From what I can recollect, it was a fresh aromatic woodsy scent with a coriander top note (surprisingly, no leather).

I'm not sure if the fragrance is still made, but I have a pair of Allen Edmonds dress shoes as well.

I've got a couple of Varvatos pieces (boots and a blazer), but I'm not too thrilled with his fragrances (except Artisan which I'm weirdly drawn to). I'd love to get some pieces from CdG's line, but that's crazy money right there!

That's bizarre. Aside from leather, there's not smell I associate with shoes (at least none I want to smell).

But then again, we live in a world with Burger King fragrance.

    Beat me to it.

I was in an Issey Miyake pop-up boutique in Paris a little while ago. I didn't buy anything though.

Tom Ford is probably the best perfume house that also puts out clothing, I find anyway. Their clothing is fantastic, as are the fragrances.

The only designer clothes I own are a couple of pairs of battered converse, levi's denim jacket and a few pairs of calvin klein boxers. Suits and regular clothes are from department stores/high street shops.

Even if I had the disposable income for Chanel and Dior clothes they don't appeal to my sense of style!

Love CdG perfumes and although I admire much of the fashion, there are only a limited range of the clothing that would feel I could carry off. Mostly, it just isn't my style, even though I think it's great.

Well, that's sort of my take on it too. Some of it's wearable, but much of it is batsh*t insane and unique. Which I love.
In that sense, the scents are quite representative!

I'm semi-hoping they do one of those collaborations things with H&M, but after that last Maison Martin Margiela debacle (they couldn't even move it at 75% off), I'd be surprised if H&M would take on an avant-garde house again. And, I haven't tried the MMM EdP, so I can't speak to it.

Although I don't think he has a fragrance as a specific part of his line (although one was made to coincide with some of his capsules), Thom Browne's stuff could produce some hilarious scents:
