I like both the Hermes scents, but they are not at all "true" eau de colognes. No reason not to recommend them; they're just in a different category.

I own en mediterranee, and while I like it, I rarely wear it. I find it's a bit too feminine smelling. And a woman in my office wears it, so there's that.
    Current Top Five:

    1. Creed Green Irish Tweed
    2. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
    3. Hermes Concentre d'Orange Verte
    4. Bond No. 9 New Haarlem
    5. Creed Original Vetiver

I agree with you, but since the OP requested "an eau d cologne with a superior quality, more volume, something that shines", this might just be what he's looking for, especially the "more volume" part.

I love Declaration Cologne, for example. It shines, in my opinion, but I wouldn't say it has more volume. Unfortunately

I hear Chanel's Eau de Cologne is one of the best colognes of all time. I also hear Institute Tres Bien makes beautiful colognes.

What about Tauer's Cologne du Maghreb? It is wonderful and delicious... Longevity is OK, especially for a cologne. I love it!

Just tried this today, and it's a great suggestion! Just lovely citrus, lemon/orange/grapefruit. You're only getting a couple hours out of this one MAX. But, at only $30 for the 1.7 oz, it's not too expensive as a blind buy either. Perfect summer refresher!
