Question Lalique Hommage a L'Homme: Is it unique enough?

Lalique do have many good fragrances but IMO, not so remarkeable. Is this one in the line of equus and encre noire?

If you mean is it of equal quality worthy of Lalique IMO - Yes.

Yesterday I tried both this new one and the old Lalique White. What I perceived was they dont't have enough projection and maybe longevity, so I'm somewhat hesitating to buy them or not.
They both have quite good and classy smells, and the fact is that I like them but as my skin eats up scents I don't know what to do! I don't like a scent be too skin type.
What's your opinion on them? Which one do you prefer? Do you think they're worthy buying?

I own Hommage and it is exceptional imo. It does not project like crazy but the longevity is average or slightly above average. It is a distinct smell and the more you wear it the better it gets. I love that feeling of cigarettes it has; a very powdery chalky essence. Hommage will not offend, it likes to be sprayed. If you are looking to knock people over then its not for you, but if you want a handsome fragrance that you could picture someone like sidney poitier in his prime wearing with an updated feel then I would recommend it. I would not want to wear it everyday, maybe 3days in a week.

It has a good smell, period. It has below average longevity and projection.

Good for people who are looking for "extremely safe office scents". Not for me.

very good fragrance. Seems that i am lucky, as i get above average longevity (6-7 hrs) but with very good projection in first 3 hours.

I really like this juice and it has good longevity on me. There is nothing retro about this tobacco note. Is it unique? Probably not but it smells as nice as other expensive frags. But if one wants to cry out for attention, then it's probably not for him.

I have a bottle on the way to me. I've never smelled it before, any more opinions? Similar to Fahrenheit?

Lalique Pour Homme edp is a good one also. Longevity is a beast.

It is well done fragrance, but similar enough to Fahrenheit, like a lighter tobacco version. The longevity is not impressive unfortunately.

It's hard not to like IMO, unless you are looking for something 'edgy'.

I would not describe Hommage as ordinary, common or generic. I dare say it brings a different (very pleasant) aroma to the vast sea of frags available today.
ointments and perfume delight the heart....

Received my bottle today, very pleased with it! Don't see much relation to Fahrenheit other than the violet. Has a really nice tobacco note that smells like a fresh pack of cigs. Nice stuff!

Glad you like it. Its a nice fragrance and I can totally see the tobacco accord in this one. I liked it, but wasn't head over heels for it. I think I just favor some other scents in my rotation in favor of this, and since it is not a collector gem, there was no need to keep it around.

For some reason, many fragrances get compared to Fahrenheit. I just never see the similarities. I picked up Ferrari Uomo on the comparision and just don't see the similarities. I've heard a few others as well, such as 90210 Metal Jeans and now this Lalique ( a few others escape my memory at this moment). Maybe it is the violet leaf, but Fahrenheit is quite a unique scent.
Seeking: Bottles/decants : of Feeling Man, Gucci pour Homme, Essence of John Galliano, Nicole Miller (vintage), Opium pour Homme, Oxford & Cambridge...etc.

Seeking decant/sample of Jil Sander Feeling Man, Cacharel Nemo, Bijan for Men EDC, Lanvin for Men, Giorgio VIP, Il Lancetti and other old school frags ....etc. I have samples to swap.

    Please PM me !

Glad you like it. This one is a favorite of mine! I don't find it "safe" or "easy" at all, it has its own personnality and stands out! People always notice when I wear it... And I share your feelings about the relation to Fahrenheit.
I have no longevity or projection issues with HM. If that was the case, take note that it smells wonderfull on frabrics!
