    Default Sel Marin = Voyage

I just sampled the 20ml decant of Sel Marin that I recently purchased and I swear this stuff smells EXACTLY like Nautica Voyage. Not a completely unpleasant smell, but it does make me extremely nauseous. Has anyone else made this connection?

It smells like clean, fresh, white sheets. There is nothing inherently wrong with that. The problem is that the smell is magnified X100! I scrubbed my hand for 5 minutes straight and I STILL smell it. Too bad it makes me nauseous.

I see no simalarities really. Are you sure you don't mean Nautica Oceans? That smells closer to Sel Marin IMO...

I guess aquatics just aren't my thing. I dislike Bvlgari aqua and marine, Voyage, and now Sel Marin. I like L'eau d'issey and acqua di gio, and Millesime Imperial but the former fragrances really embody a true aquatic imo. Oh well, can't win em all....

I can see the similarities but I do not find them to be exact.

The only similarity I see is that they are both dubbed aquatics. Other than that they are totally different. Nautica voyage is a decent, cheap gym scent, whereas Sel Marin is an actual marine interpretation with seasalt and seaweed. Just my take.

Not similar at all in my opinion. One is natural smelling and the other is not natural smelling freshness. Sel Marin is a salty, sea water, slightly green scent that smells very natural. Nautica Voyage is fresh light blue citrus solvent and apple juice scent - not natural smelling, but is fresh nonetheless.

Bvlgari Aqva and Aqva Marine aren't true aquatics to my nose. Aqva has such an intense green note that's similar to Bleecker Street. Aqva Marine smells like rotting fish. Ewwww.

It seems odd that you'd say you like AdG, L'eau D'Issey and MI but don't like Aquatics. Those smell more aquatic to me - especially AdG - than Aqva and Aqva Marine.

I have both. I find Sel Marin to be a clean aquatic blast that never gets to smelling artificial after several hours. Voyage starts off as a nice aquatic scent, but then starts to smell a bit less natural to me in the drydown. Voyage is not a bad scent by any means, I like it. I just think Sel Marin one of the best aquatics out there. I also get seaweed in Sel Marin and that's one thing I don't find in Voyage.

the former 3 smell more floral than aquatic to my nose. Maybe Sel Marin and Voyage aren't exact matches, as Voyage IS more sweet and synthetic, but it seems very strange that the majority of you don't see any similarities whatsoever. Chalk it up to subjectivity...
