Default The best perfumeries in London

I'm from the London area but I spend about 9 months of the year away from home. Last time I was home, I had no clue what neroli smelt like and couldn't tell you what Chergui was. This whole fragrance journey has started since I've been away, and now that I'm going back home for a few months, I'm hoping to smell as much as possible.

I know Liberty's has a fantastic perfume department with Le Labo, Nasmotto, Guerlain and Serge Lutens. Harvey Nicks seems to be the place for By Kilian, Selfridges looks to have all the Tom Fords, and Harrods looks like it's the place to go for Amouage, Bond No 9, Creed as well as some of the aforementioned houses and a vast array of others. There's also Le Senteurs, Penhaligons and Diptyque.

Have a missed any great perfumeries from my list? Can you recommend me anymore places for me and my nose to visit?

Fortnum & Mason has a good perfume department, some unusual stock there. Then there's all the 'barbershop' houses on or around Jermyn Street (Trumpers etc.). And Santa Maria Novella at Picadilly Arcade.

Fortmums is good but very expensive; as you would expect. They have all the Grossmith range.

Wow, F&M have all the expensive Clive Christians. I take it they don't let you smell them in the shop?

Yes, that's perfectly OK - the staff there are very relaxed and helpful. They also have the full range from both Xerjoff and M.Micallef too if they are of any interest.

Haha, I'm intrigued to smell the No. 1 Pure Parfum, but I doubt it smells like it's worth £2,700.

Oh fantastic, I wanted to try Kobe and M. Micallef's Gaiac. I now know how I'll be spending my spare days when I get home!

Anyone knows if there´s a place in London that sells Dior's La Collection Privée? Looking for Leather Oud.

Selfridges and Harrods both have them.

And to the OP, don't miss the Nicolai boutique (more of a stand) in South Kensington.

    Nicolai is here: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=par...m&z=16&iwloc=A.

It's about a five-minute walk from S. Ken station, and about 10 minutes from Harrods.

Doubt it, since they're closed Sundays.
