Thread: Best summer fragrance
im looking for a good summer fragrance for a 16 year old..
i got 360 red and nautica voyage for summer.. i want to buy another one.
if you wanna suggest another fragrance for the summer, just keep it under 50-60 dollars..
Bergamatto Marino. The price is good also.
Versace Pour Homme is a right choice
Ck One, Eau d Orange Vert, Bulgari Thé Vert, Habit Rouge.
I'd suggest Cologne de Mugler.
You may like Mauboussin pour Lui, it's nice. Not the typical summery scent, but the top is fresh, there is obviously anise but it's not too prominent, and the base is wood rounded by a hint of amber notes. I think it has already hit online counters and can be found cheap...
the wholenautica line is good foryoung adults. check out blue and isalnd voyage. also del mar by hugo boss.

From this list, I'd choose Gucci PH II or L'Homme
Versace Man - Eau Fraiche. Excellent summer fragrance for the price.
Other low cost summer greats:
+1 Monsieur Balmain (a lot of lemon)
+1 Gucci Pour Homme II (but not just for summer - all season workhorse)
+1 Mugler Cologne
Kenneth Cole Black
Paco Rabanne XS
Gucci Pour Homme II for me.
Get 3 of the Ralph Lauren Big Pony 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 body sprays - 200ml's each for around $20, will get thru your summer with ample to spare...They arent bad by the way, they are in no way a cologne / perfume, but with the quantity avaiilable, u can spray once or twice on your clothes as well and it should help in getting u better longevity. None of my business, but at 16, u got better things to spend on than cologne's...
Where are you located? Your best bet is to go to a store and smell them for yourself. Everything you named is good, though I think Gucci Pour Homme II is probably more mature than you're looking for. You can't go wrong if you choose something you like, but you can REALLY go wrong if you let strangers on the internet make your choices for you. Use us for research, of course, but in the end, you need to smell and decide what you like.
Yves Saint Laurent L'homme: Can't go wrong with a choice like that. It's probably the most versatile thing on your list, meaning it's never a wrong choice to wear.
Anybody have a sample of Martin Margiela Untitled or Untitled L'Eau? I'm dying to smell these and I've got lots of great niche samples to swap!

I've never smelt it but if you live more towards the coast, Tommy Bahama - Set Sail St. Barts could be an option?
I can second Eau d'Orange Verte and Bergamotto Marino.
For $75 you should try Mediterraneo or Numero Uno by Carthusia. Slightly above what you wanted to spend, but its a nice introduction into niche scents and safe try for someone your age. You can buy samples of both online for $3 at luckyscent.com.
My favorites for summer are:
Ende / Anfang
Yeah like a lot of posters I tend to agree theres better options out there, but based on your list I went for Gucci PH II, very relaxing, fresh and masculine tea scent

"Geez, when are the 'We love Aventus' T-shirts coming out?"
L'homme by YSL is an excellent choice.
Current favorites_____Black Tourmaline_____Gucci Pour Homme II_____Memoir Man_____Tuscan Leather______Montale Aoud and Pine_____Sel Marin_____Invasion Barbare_____Tonka Imperial____Dior Homme Intense_____L'Humaniste____Santal 33_____Bois d'Argent_____Nio_____MFK Oud_____Lumiere Noire_____Bois d'Encens_____Cuir Ottoman
Very hard to go wrong with Gendarme.
Why did you exclude acqua di gio, it is a classic and smells really good.
Versace Eau Fraiche is a very good choice for a summer fragrance.
If you want something that works year round, Gucci Pour Homme II and YSL L'homme are excellent choices.
Id go for Aqva.
Gucci Pour Homme II from your list
Gucci PH II is by far my favourite from the list. I wouldn't personally class it as a classic 'summer' scent though.
L'Homme is good too, and Versace Eau Fraiche I certainly would say screams summer!
CK One or, if you can afford it, try Chanel Pour Monsieur or Allure Blanche.Homme.
For a teenage I'd go with more simple scents like CK One, Acqua di Gio Pour Homme or Azzaro Chrome.
My all time favorite:
Easy Pick. For 16yo I would go with Versace Man Eau Fraiche.
I love Gucci PH II but for very hot summer days VMEF is better option.
YSL L Homme IMO is not summer scent at all and I find it very metrosexual.
Bulgari Aqua is nice but when I had it I found it better in cold weather...
Issey is OK as a summer scent.
Versace Pour Homme is mix of Allure Homme Sport and Acqua Di Gio that IMO doesnt smell better than them.
212 is nice but not that special after top notes wear off.
TOP 3 hot weather:
1. Gucci Pour Homme II
2. Lalique Encre Noire
3. Creed Millesime Imperial
TOP 3 cold weather:
1. Dior Homme
2. Eau Des Baux
3. L'Instant de Guerlain Pour Homme Extreme
Great works are performed, not by strength, but by perseverance.
Wearing VIW/Set Sail St. Barts in Siberia won't have the same effect as wearing it on the Costa Del Sol, if you get my drift. It'll still smell great, but it's more suited to the beach.
4711 is THE classic EdC. But you need to reapply it often. Clean citrus - a classic.
Countless possibilities here. Would like to see Rocabar, Eau de Rochas and Hugh Parsons Blue added.
Want to trade - Chanel Platinum Egoiste for Dior Eau Sauvage...
From your list I would choose Aqva. Also, how about a sport fragrance to go with your two aquatics. That would add a more energizing scent to your lineup. Maybe Burberry Sport, Armani Code Sport, or Lacoste Essential Sport.
From your list, Bulgari Aqva.
But for your age I sugest Nikos Sculpture (girls love this...)
Gucci Pour Homme II is my own favorite from your list. I wouldn't limit wearing it to summer, though.
