    Default Amouage Lyric Man

On paper, it smells great to me. Refined, well blended, exquisite rose. Seriously thinking about getting a bottle.

What do you think of Lyric Man as a spring / summer night out scent?

Personally don't care for it, but what's important is that you like and that should be the deciding factor.

I like Reflection for a spring night out scent. Yet to try Lyric though. Good projection by all accounts, so it may fit the bill well.

    P.S

Fully agree with the comments above. YOUR opinion is what matters.

It's good in small dose's but over apply and it projects like a beast and starts to smell like shampoo.

I like it as well. A well made incense rose fragrance. Just a bit too feminine for me though.

Honestly, I had high expectations for this one, but it smells like expensive women's anti wrinkle creams my aunts use lol.

My 2nd favorite Amouage (behind Jubilation XXV). I wear it in the cooler weather, but think it applied a little lighter it could work just fine in the warmer weather - especially in the evenings.

    Do it.

You'll be fine. I wear lyric whenever but usually at night and it's summer most of the time here.

I think you'd be better served by Reflection or Honour as I find Lyric to be kind of cloying.

It was a scrubber for me, too much rose. Became nauseating after a while and gave me a headache. I really wanted to love it, but I've decided that Portrait of a Lady is my rose of choice (at this point anyway).

I really think I overapplied when I tested it. Maybe I'll have to give it another try by lightly spritzing it. Plus, the weather has been fairly hot here recently (in the 90's) so I will probably try it again this fall.

An excellent, very sophisticated night out scent - in fact that is the only occasion I wear this one, it's not really a daytime one for me.

Love the opening, hate the late-stage drydown.

It is my 3rd favorite from the 3 from the decants I bought.
#1 Epic Man (The only one that I already bought a 100ml bottle)
#2 Jubilation XXV (I do not satisfy with its dry down--the opening is great.
#3 Lyric Man Lush Rose that turn to somewhat soapy in dry down. I only wear it in evening, works great in summer evening here. In fact I do not think I can not imagine wearing it under the powerful summer sun.

    Smell really classy.

IMHO Amouage + over application = disaster (holds good for Montale's / Nasomatto / Slumberhouse as well)...Do try again, its a wonderful frag...

Just my opinion, but it's no worse than over-applying any other dense frag.

I find it quite opulent and too much of an arabian rose.

A very well-blended rose scent for men but it's somewhat too feminine to me. I prefer other choices of the Amouage.
    But overall certainly good.
My most favorite scents that I can't be without:
    Givenchy Xeryus Rouge
    Dior Homme Intense
    Fahrenheit

I prefer Lyric Woman -- it's more masculine.

Tested this one over the weekend. I must say when I smelled it on paper I did not like it. On the skin however it's much nicer. I'll eventually get a bottle.

I have a bottle of this and i question every day whether i should sell it or not. At times i think i love it and other times its just too feminine for my taste. I 100% agree with Jack's comments, this is the one scent that i've encountered where application is key. less is more has never been more true than it is with Lyric.

The one thing i do not understand is people comment on incense and spices, i don't get any of that at all..i get huge rose blast and citris and a very sweet soapy dry down..
