Wink My first experience with Perfumed Oils - through Al Rehab

I normally just buy designer mens frags and for the most they have ok projection and longevity but have recently explored edp (which are mostly unisex rather than just masculine) and you are somewhat limited. Niche houses do a lot more edp but they are obviously much more expensive. I then stubled across a thread talking about Al Rehab & perfume oils and was instantly intrigued. I bought 6 x 6ml oils at £1.80 each (about $3) and this is my experience with each of them:

AL FARES: A nice woody floral scent. Maybe the most 'arabian' and masculine smelling of the lot, very distinct but pleasant- 7.5/10

SILVER: Apparently similar to Silver Mountain Water by Creed but have yet to try that so can't comment. A clean soft citrusy musk, slightly metallic with maybe some tea notes thrown in- 6/10

DAKAR: Very similar to Drakkar Noir, but even more similar to Caesars Man. Very 'green' smelling, slightly leathery and spicy- 6/10

[KHALIJI: An extremely nice citrusy, musky and refreshingly spicy scent with an amazing dry-down. Maybe it's the 'golden flower' note that does it for me. The outright favourite of this lot- 9/10

ASEEL: A woody fragrance with dominant rose and oud top notes. Slightly feminine and headache-inducing with a long wear of this- 4/10

SULTAN: A very woody musk. Some floral in the drydown and maybe some citrus- 5/10

It works out that 100ml of these fragrances would work out at about £30 (about $45, for this amount in this 6ml form). This represents excellent value for money as this is much cheaper than most designer fragrances. They also have the added benefit of being available in such small sizes that if you didn't like them then you haven't wasted much money. They all project fairly well and have very good longevity, especially on clothes. These oils are mostly quite linear and don't really develop or have much depth compared to frags such as Fendi Uomo, Gucci Envy & Patou Pour Homme, but although they are relatively linear they are very nice for what they are. I have also looked into other companies that make perfume oils that seem to have been mentioned positely and will probably look into in the near future:

    ***SURRATI***
    Tom Oudh
    Tuskan Leather

    ***SWISS ARABIAN***
Mukhalat Malaki, Mukhallat Shahama, Fadeitak, Rakaan, Alia, Dehn El Ood, Khateer, Amadou, Hamsa Nouveau, Sultan

    ***AL HARAMAIN***
    Musk al Ghazal
    Naeem
    Mubakhar Maliki / Mukhamria Maliki
    Mukhallath Al Quds

The next step is to purchase the other 10 Al Rehab oils (Dehn Al Oud, Shaikah, Choco Musk, Lord, Roshan, Sondos, Superman, Roses, Saat Safa, Al Direyah) I have on my list and maybe a few of the other ones listed above. I may even purchase the accompanying edp sprays to go with my favourite oils, especially Khaliji which is an absolute gem. Anyone that wants to share their experiences with any of the 6 I have tested, or the various others I have listed 'to test' then they are very welcome

Glad to be of help. Once I've tested more I'll probably add it to this thread. You should add your thoughts to this thread once you've tried those 3 you've bought

didnt last long for me, maybe hot weather.

surrati black oudh, tom oudh and tuskan leather, excellent value. All likes of popular fragrances and not bad in their attempt

i have ordered swiss arabian black afgano, will let you know.

i have a big bottle of black oudh if you want some, beat any ebay price.

Try Arabian Oud oils, Musc Kaaba or Musc Fakher.

I've tried a few fragrance oils from Al Rehab and I found KHALIJI to be the best out of the bunch. It also has decent longevity for the price--5 hours on my stubborn skin.

Thanks for posting. I thought OUDY WOODY might be a winner for me but it lacked in almost every category. I did enjoy the scent though when I first put it on.

I guess if you are stuck with designer offerings these might be of interest to someone. However once you get niche into your veins these will seem like children's toys.

The oils might work better for you. Please report back when you try them.

I tried Khaliji and Aseel. Khaliji was quite fresh and was nice to wear as a base for some of my citrus colognes. And it lasted forever. I may just get another vial of it. At first, I didn't care for Aseel. I thought it was too sharp, especially the wood in it. But I eventually grew to kinda like it.

Al Haramain Musk Ghazelle is pungent, but not as stinky as AAA Musk Ghazelle from Ajmal. My favorite Al Haramain scent is Attar Al Mahfuz. I hope to have that on in my collection always.

I tried Aseel and could not stand it, ended up PIF'ing it. Silver is OK, it does smell kind of like of like SMW but it still smells "cheap" IMHO. That will probably be PIF'ed next.

I like their traditional Middle Eastern formulae with oud, rose, amber etc. like Saat Safa, Shaikhah, Al Sheriga, and Dehn Al-Oud. Lord is full of dihydromyrcenol, not sure why you'd think it's Arabic smelling.

    honestly people believe me.

3ml of any of this type of oil is MORE than enough.

    This stuff is potent! Honestly.

I got a 100ml bottle of the black oudh. I decanted it in my living room into 3ml bottles, the whole bottle is gone. My missus hates the smell of rose, she is going to kick off big style

So how did it go with all of that ChocoMusk? I feel this way about Blanc! Love that scent!

i have been trying this out too. got about 8 of them. These stuff (the 6ml roll-on type) are potent. I am done with western perfumes.

Choco musk is fantastic!!! lasts for over 24 hours even under intense condition. A female collegue told me i was putting on a rich man's fragrance, 10 hours after initial spray.

Zidane, Sultan, Khaliji are great too. I also bought Dhen al oud,(which i dont like) Aseel, Dhakar. Hoping to still get more from this house too.

Arabian perfumes is the best way to go.

How would you describe the feeling on your skin? Do you get a sticky feeling or not when you apply them?

I bought some in January Hednic. They don't feel oily at all,
and they absorb easily into your skin!

I see! Dakar was one of the eight I got initially. I don't care much for it. Saat safa will be among my next buy.
