Default where do you see yourself in 5 years (regarding fragrances)?

Myself, I think, having a 20 bottle all star collection of both niche and designer, of what I really love, and ignoring the "goods", the "okays" and the "alrights". I don't expect to sample a lot of go to a lot of frag events. I might just settle down in life with that collection. And I don't think I'll be on Basenotes at that point, but who knows, maybe I might.

I hope to continue sampling since I consider it part of collection building. Building a collection of all-star perfumes is my intent as well, but I recognize that new perfumes, and perfumers, are part of the landscape. Trying new fragrances is fun for me.

I hope that by then I might be a reasonably competent 'nose' and that I will be making perfumes with a full depth of understanding without reference. I read somewhere that it takes seven years to become a nose and ten to make your first decent perfume. We'll see. I just love the journey.

I don't expect my collection to grow significantly during the next years. I am at a point where I am really happy and satisfied with the fragrances I own (my wardrobe here is not accurate).
Shortly I did a clearing and sorted out about ten bottles and nearly two dozens of decants. I feel my collection is getting more and more distinctive.
I will still be hanging around in perfumeries but not hunting and sampling as eagerly as I did in the past years (and which I found to be quite distracting lately). My fantasy is more about finding a gem from time to time.

I see myself with a smaller, but tighter collection in the future. But I think I will still be sampling and exploring new things.

I plan to switch to a holding company structure to allow my operating scents to dedicate themselves to their core objectives and better leverage synergies within the group. This will involve restructuring to integrate various redundant and overlapping scent families, but will ultimately free up fiscal resources to drive growth going forward. We are also looking at opportunities provided by mergers and acquisitions to open up new growth fields to enable further expansion.

If IFRA are to be believed, probably 6 feet under.

More niche, but also more appreciation for the classic designer houses, some more dabbling in categories explored very little by me (especially unisex fragrances).
