I bought it from a basenotes member.
Package keeps getting delayed for 3-4 days now.
Yesterday it said "pending customs clearence" but I guess it didnt clear.
should I be worried?
You should not worry over things you cannot control. Do not give up hope until something definite happens.
I know the feeling. I had a fragrance sent to the UK from one of our great Bassnoters in America which went off the radar...and arrived several weeks later, perfectly intact.
I had a pair of eyeglasses that were held up in customs but it only took a day or so to clear. They were shipped out of Montreal to the US.
I've had shaving brushes sit at customs a week. Calm down.
It will be fine. My split that I bought from a BNer a few months ago sat in customs for a week or more and was finally released. It was sent from Taiwan.
It will be fine. I'm sure it will clear in a few more days.
I had a package hung up at the Post Office in Aurora, CO for nearly 2 months. It was mailed in early March and I just received it recently.
But yes, these things usually work themselves out.

Been ordering stuff online for years. Many get delayed, often for extended periods -- sometimes being routed through weird places, sometimes sitting in one place for several days.
Post office is run by people, who sometimes make mistakes in sorting. No need to panic.
Current Top Five:
1. Creed Green Irish Tweed
2. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
3. Hermes Concentre d'Orange Verte
4. Bond No. 9 New Haarlem
5. Creed Original Vetiver
That happens often. Give it more time. You should be good.
thanks guys. i m a little relieved.
My record was 12 WEEKS!!! I bought a bottle of Montale Black Aoud from a guy in Oman, it went off the radar 4 days later, nothing in tracking until 80 days later when it showed up...I had really given up on that one.
For Sale: VINTAGE Montales
Creed Green Irish Tweed, Millesime Imperial, AVENTUS
*CRYSTAL FLACON SPLITS*
Creed Green Irish Tweed, Millesime Imperial, AVENTUS

Happens quite a bit. After a few weeks one can try to contact customs.
let my package go or the basenotes boys are coming!
I think you'll be fine. I once had a split from the UK wait in NY customs for about 10 days. It was just sitting there and the USPS status didn't change. Kinda frustrating. Fortunately, it arrived safe and sound.
You'll most likely get your shipment, may just take some time.
I've had a $160 fragrance shipment from a BNer destroyed by overzealous customs/postal services. It's been months but I'm still feeling PO'd about it.
Don't you worry, it'll come.
OP - don't fret, mate. They'll clear within another few days, and at least you know exactly where they are and who to yell at if something goes awry
I'm waiting on two shipments, one from late January and one from mid-Feb.
The way I see it, they may still come along, and if they do, it's like I'm getting freebies (since the payments were made so long ago).
shipments from Canada to the US are rarely ever confiscated or destroyed, it will be fine lol.
worry from Canada to USA? I thought the basenoter was a third world country member. That could be a customs problem maybe.
I've had numerous little parcels go missing entirely but yours is being recorded so I wouldn't worry at all.
Yours has tracking information constantly being updated, imagine having no information updated for a week or 2....happened to me.
I am sure you will be fine.
So just got an update.
the shipment was sent back to the sender because it was on hold for 10 days and supposedly no one contacted them to tell them what was inside the box.
What do we do now?
Whats the best way to get this package sent without it being held up?
To my knowledge, it was declared as perfumes and it still didnt make it through.
why the heck would they need someone to contact them to tell them what was inside the box when it was declared as perfumes?
Probably the same thing happened to my other shipment. Twice the seller sent it, only for it to be 'returned to sender' after sitting in some holding facility for 10-12 weeks. We're both at a loss as to how else to ship this out.
"I exist for myself, and for those to whom my unquenchable thirst for freedom gives everything, but also for everyone, since insofar as I am able to love - I love everyone. Of noble hearts, I am the noblest - and the most generous of those that yearn to give love in return. - I am a human being, I love death and I love life."

And I thought trans-Atlantic was risky.
Just the usual...
