Default Today I had my lucky day - My purchases were unbelievable!

    Hello,

Today I had my lucky day - My purchases were unbelievable!

I find a store with 50% discounts advertised in the windows.

I was completely amazed at the rarity of fragrances available in this store.

In total I spent 125 euros and brought home these seven wonderful fragrances and after-shaves.

Vintage Insensé Givenchy Edt Splash 100ml

Vintage Monsieur de Givenchy Edt Natural Spray 100ml

Very Valentino 30ml Edt Natural Spray

Vintage Zino Davidoff After Shave Balm 125 ml

And what is more amazing is that they still offered me these two pearls.

Vintage Zino Davidoff Edt 125 ml (full tester)

    and,

Vintage Giorgio Beverly Hills VIP Special Reserve EDT 50 ml (80% full tester)

    Only 17,86 € per fragance...!!

    What a glorious day!

Well done, I think you'll enjoy the authentic scents, but beware - old aftershave balms can and do go off (several have gone off on me). I'd avoid paying even half price for them.

Did you try knock the price down a bit more, saying that it was all old stuff?
    Cheers,
    Renato

    Hi Renato,

I agree with you in what concerns to the after-shaves balm, I had some bad experiences too, but this Zino is ok and smells wonderful!!

Today I wear it and it' s in perfect condition.

I always try to knock the price down a bit more with the olx stuff "story".

But I think that's a good deal because they offer me two cologne testers.

Thanks for the Advice and precious informations,

    mdclx

    My friend mdclx,

There are a lot of clues - first, here on Basenotes, http://www.basenotes.net/ID26121131.html

Monsieur Worth was released in 1969. Here is a splash bottle, similar packaging to yours - http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-Mons...-/320577944842

I saw that your bottle has propellant and is under pressure - not a natural spray. I have an old Vintage bottle of Givenchy Gentleman like that. Careful - it comes out fast! Handle with caution. ;-)

Let us know the notes on it - the reviews sound good.

Here is the scent pyramid as here on BN:

    Top Notes
Lavender, Bergamot, Basil, Petitgrain, Eucalyptus, Rosemary

    Middle Notes
    Geranium, Fern, Vetiver, Cedarwood

    Base Notes
    Moss, Tonka, Musk, Amber, Vanilla

Sounds classic in structure and notes. Cheers, my friend.

I wish I could find stores like that in Copenhagen Either we don't have any, or the more plausible option, I suck at finding them.

good for you and congratulations, here most shops scalp you anyway on vintage juices, very few will let you have Insense 100 ml for 31 euros, for Loewe Esencia yesterday had to pay 35 euros for a 50 ml edt!!!

having just said that, yesterday I've found two tin cans of Rive Gauche cut by 40% and so a bottle of M 7 fresh and a bottle of Issey bleu cut for 20 % of their original prices!

mdclx, if it is okay with you, I am going to close my eyes and fantasize about having your fragrances

I am very happy for you ! Those are some terrific gems. I will always love designer fragrances just because of that. The fragrances have more of a history and name. There is more meaning behind the fragrances. I love that.
Seeking: Bottles/decants : of Feeling Man, Gucci pour Homme, Essence of John Galliano, Nicole Miller (vintage), Opium pour Homme, Oxford & Cambridge...etc.

Seeking decant/sample of Jil Sander Feeling Man, Cacharel Nemo, Bijan for Men EDC, Lanvin for Men, Giorgio VIP, Il Lancetti and other old school frags ....etc. I have samples to swap.

    More HERE
    Please PM me !
