DHI for me.
Thread: Dior Homme Intense or Chergui
Fans of DHI and Chergui said they're amazing and complex. Now if you have to choose one of them which one do you pick ? .
Dior Homme Intense by miles for me
CURRENT TOP 5
1. Dior Homme Intense
2. Creed Aventus
3. Tom Ford Extreme
4. Gucci Pour Homme II
5. Terre d'Hermes
but but but fragrance connoisseurs think Chergui has IT the real deal ? .
I don't often buy into reformulation hype, but Chergui has changed a lot, and not for the better.
It's no longer that gorgeous, thick, sweet tobacco that blooms right off your arm. If we were talking black-label Chergui you'd be well-advised to choose that.
DHI is more practical, but Chergui is perhaps more interesting. So, DHI with a decant of Chergui perhaps.

Clive Christian X
Creed Royal Oud
Mona di Orio Oud
Tom Ford Tuscan Leather
Tom Ford Oud Wood
Tom Ford Patchouli Absolu
Tom Ford Plum Japonais
Aqua di Parma Colonia Leather
If I HAD to choose one I would pick DHI. But if I didn't have to pick one I would pick neither. Blind bought both of these and was not impressed at all so I sold them.
DHI, hands down.

"A beautiful fragrance to the nose is like good jazz music to the ears, great food to the mouth, and Megan Fox and Jessica Alba to the eyes..."
Chergui by a wide margin.
Own both. Like both, but don't love either. Fully appreciate the compositions, but wearability of both is a little low for me. If forced to pick, I guess I would pick Chergui.
Dior Muthereffin' Homme Intense.
DHI by miles, lights out, no contest.
I have both and think Chergui is great but I don't seem to wear it often but DHI gets used more so Ill vote for DHI
My current obsessions for now
Oud Wood , Noir de Noir , DHI , Mugler Cologne , Bond No.9 Bleeker St. ,
Ramone Monegal Agar Musk & Umbra , Chanel Coromondel ,
DHI. I've reached for DHI 3x more often than Chergui.

If you want complexity I'd pick Chergui. Both scents are very comforting. I really like how I feel when I wear DHI, I feel confident and refined wearing it, a better version of myself. Chergui might be better on a date, but DHI overall is probably more versatile. I definitely wear DHI more which my girlfriend loves, though there was a time when I could mow through Chergui like no other.
I truly think both are essential for a guy to own. Perhaps you can order samples first if you only want one.
Chergui, as I like stuff that's off the beaten path. DHI, while well-done, doesn't strike me as that interesting.
Chergui is crazy good for cooler weather. Prefer DH over DHI.
Thanks guys for your participation!.

I find DHI easier to wear than Chergui. Both are excellent, but I'd go with the one I'd wear more often. The real question is, which would YOU wear more often? If you don't know, then you need to sample both. Spend a few bucks on samples. You'll be glad you did.

Both are great. Chergui is more unique, more complex, more untamed and with rougher edges. DHI is smoother, softer, rounder, warmer and probably more wearable. A tie really, but at gunpoint I'd choose - Chergui.
I did choose and my choice is Chergui
Fast forward to today and it still smells good but it's almost like an EDT version compared to the older stuff being EDP. I ordered from a legit site but maybe I will get it directly from SL next time around..
With all that said I would still pick the new Chergui over any DHI.
1) Chergui (Serge Lutens)
2) Dior Homme Intense
3) Aventus (Creed)
4) Allure Homme Sport (Chanel)
5) La Nuit De l'Homme (YSL)
...Dior Homme is for tenors; Chergui is for baritones...!
I have both and prefer Chergui.

DHI for me
Chergui is just boring IMHO
Dior Homme Intense
I have decants of DHI & Chergui and, while I enjoy them both very much, if I were to go fb on one of them it would be....Chergui.
We're all in the same game; just different levels. Dealing with the same hell; just different devils.
Dior Homme Intense, either vintage or current formulation...
My all time favorite:
DHI for me too.

I would recommend both. Love them all but in terms quality, longevity and projection I will pick Chergui
Dhi by far.
2. Dior Homme
3. Dior Homme Intense
I wear DH most often of the 3, and Chergui is for a little more special occasions. I don't wear DHI very much, but I like it enough to keep.
