Default Givenchy Pi - What do you think of its sillage?

    Hi friends..

After my first year into this hobby, this manly vanilla fragrance became my favorite.
I like its lasting power, but projection... I cant be sure

Nobody comments on it unless I spray more than 8-10 times.

Yesterday I gave 1 spray of dior homme intense to one side of my shirt, and 8 sprays of Pi to the other side..
Today DHI is still stronger and more detectable.

In order to make a test, I sprayed 4 times on the neck of my mother. After 1 hour I can only feel it if I hug her.

What is the problem here? Reformulation? Stale juice?

I can never smell Givanchy Play Intense, even right after application. Even if I bath in it, I feel nothing! So I know that sometimes there is a problem with my nose.
Is it possible that I'm also anosmic to Pi? But I can smell Pi if I'm close, even one week later I can detect it on my clothes.

Possibly just doesn't project much. Though a fragrance may last for days doesn't mean that it is a projection beast.

I have no problem or concerns with its longevity, projection and sillage.

I think it projects like a beast. If you like the edt, see if you can find the eau de parfum....it's more intense. I have the edp that I bought at a mall in Spartenburg, SC when I was out of town on business. The 1st time I wore it, I applied it like an edt and went to breakfast in the hotel dining room. Gassed myself and everyone around me with PI. I now apply it by taking the sprayer off the stem and dab it on. Nuclear stuff!

Wooow.. I would love to get such a projection out of Pi!

Today I'll check if I can find edp version.
And I will also check if my juice is stale.

For me, its longevity and projection were always way above average.

Very good projection and longevity. I usually get 8-10 hours with this one.

Projection and Longevity is great on my skin. Maybe a little unscented lotion may help.

I get insane projection and longevity with Pi. I should also note though, my bottle is from 99, it is likely to have been reformulated since, as with most fragrances that have been out for 10+ years.

Contrary to what others have said, I don't find it to have heavy sillage nor projection - This may simply be my nose. I think it is average in those categories (but man, what an elegant scent!).

I bought my bottle at the LAX duty free in August 2012 - It is a new bottle.

IMHO the older version had a pretty big projection, the modern version is moderate. A guy at work wears it & I always love it.
It's been a long hot Summer in Sydney, looking forward to Winter & wearing vanilla fragrances.
