Default Habit Rouge makes me indecisive :(

I cant decide which one to buy, firstly I checked out the edt version but didn't like it much till I was too far away from the perfume shop to go back and get it. Then I bought shalimar instead and like it, specially at night outs. Now I saw that a vintage 200ml splash bottle of HR is going for around 240$ and I'm tempted to buy it but I don't know if its worth that much. Is there really any difference between the current formulation and the vintage one? Or should I put it off again and look for other frags till I go crazy over it

$240 is way too much. Buy a 100 ml bottle of the edt on Amazon for 40 bucks.

If you wanted to spend around $100 for vintage EdC, that would probably be a good deal.

no way is it worth that much... you can find vintage cheaper on ebay i think.

To me, EDT is the least attractive of the three...

EDC is a classic cologne. EDP is a lot longer lasting but slightly heavier, and has a distinct oud note to it.

With that said, I do have a brand new/never used bottle of vintage EDC (splash) and brand new/never used bottle of EDP (spray) that are up for sale, if anyone's interested - just PM me. These were in my backup pile, alas I'm moving on and clearing most of my backups as my current rotation simply would not allow these gems to come out of the closet for decades.

Before you decide, you should (it has already been mentioned) at least try the EDP version of HR. Whereas I didn't really like HR EDT, I immediately fell in love with the EDP. For me it has some magic in it, that the EDT does not have.

The splash bottle is slightly overpriced.

I think it's overpriced. I'd go with the EDP version, cheaper and the better scent to me.

    Dior Homme Intense

You should take your time... If you don't like the EDT try at least the EDP which packs more depth. ButI must admit, these words are from a not-so-fond-of-HR

    I've PM'd you craniumbash

Hopefully rubegon, who knows even more about HR than me, will see this thread & contribute his comments. I think he owns every version (like I do) and some I don't even have.

I have some of the vintage EDT and some of the current EDT, the vintage is noticeably richer and longer lasting, some of which may be due to aging, but it's worth seeking it out, if you can get it for a good price. Essentially look for the gold, not silver, cap and it should be vintage, or vintage enough.

I enjoy my current edt just the way it is, actually. Someday I'll try the vintage.
