Default Do you think Concentre D'Orange Verte is a shared gender scent?

I tried the regular version and for me this regular version is slightly a masculine scent. However the longevity is so ridiculous that i can't say much about it. Now i think i will buy the concentree version instead of the regular. It would be good if this one has moss basenote, equally or more masculine.

I think it's a scent for the boys and the girls.
I have the Eau which I like more than I used to. Whatever is behind that orange note is subtle interesting and classy, albeit shortlived. I'd like to grab a bottle of the concentree at some point.

I find the concentree more green and lime-y, so, if any, even more masculine. It does last a little bit more than the regular. But still, it's a citrus, so don't expect it to last the whole day.

    Nice scent. Could be unisex.

Yes it can definitely be unisex.

I smelt the regular version in store once but can't really remember how it felt. I have the concentré version, though, and it is unisex. Just be aware that it's sweet (sweeter than the regular version, I hear) and rather powdery in the drydown. For super macho men, this "feminine" vibe (i.e. sweetness and powderyness) might be a concern.

Upon spray it's very refreshing, bitter, like smashing an orange leaf in your hands. Definitely a masculine vibe. After 1 minute or so it starts to get sweet. The bitterness disappears and so does the "orange verte" smell. It changes a lot into the drydown.

Yes, but the ladies need to keep their hands off it and leave it all to us. Me, actually. I love it.

unisex. I gave it to a boyfriend once, but not to a girlfriend....yet.

Absolutely unisex. Devastating on either or any gender.

Definitely unisex, but I prefer the masculine side!

Devastating isn't a word that's ever sprung to mind in connection with Eau D'Orange Verte for me, but why not, now that you mention it..

    Unisex.

The Concentre does last a bit longer.

But this perfume was clearly designed to be reapplied often.

I think it could be perfectly unisex. I gave mine away a while back. Concentre is the only one I smelled, and I thought it smelled nice, but very poor longevity, and it came across as a little soapy (which I don't normally like). Too many better orange fragrances out there that last MUCH longer for me to play around with this one.

Which ones? I like Concentre d'Orange Verte quite a bit, but it has the typical short citrus longevity. Would love to find a similar scent that lasts longer, but haven't yet.
    Current Top Five:

    1. Creed Green Irish Tweed
    2. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
    3. Hermes Concentre d'Orange Verte
    4. Bond No. 9 New Haarlem
    5. Creed Original Vetiver

Well, if you like it a lot, I would recommend getting it. If longevity is an issue, just keep an atomizer with you.

However, these are some orange fragrances that I personally like better, and get very good longevity from:

    Chanel Allure Homme Sport
    Ramon Monegal Entre Naranjos
    Profumum Roma Acqua Viva

Another long lasting orange (but personally don't like -- WAY to straight-up ORANGE) is Bond No. 9 Little Italy

Also, I find Neroli Portofino (Tom Ford) to have a very strong orange scent and lasts quite a long time IMO.

However, none of those smell quite the same as CD'O...

To me it smells exactly like terre d' Hermes minus the earthy/mineral notes

Neroli Portofino is a great scent, but like recognize, I don't put neroli and orange in the same grouping -- similar, but not the same. And I don't get that great a longevity from Neroli Portofino.

Don't like Little Italy at all. Perhaps I'll try the others -- CdOV is my go-to orange, but I'm always in the mood for something new.
