What is a Kentucky Derby party?
the obvious choice would be something with a rose note, but not for me.
I'm thinking something floral and musky like Burberry Touch or Dior Homme INtense
What is a Kentucky Derby party?
Sova -- the horses will find you irresistible.
Lots of women around you dressed in their fanciest. Dior Homme Intense
Aventus, there is even a horse on the bottle.
Clive Christian No. 1 Homme Pure Parfum
Something along the lines of Habit Rouge, maybe even (and more extravagantly) Blenheim Bouquet, Floris No. 89 or No.127, Knize Ten.

A very barnyard fecal smelling oud oil...
My Top 10
1. Amouage Homage Attar
2. Serge Lutens - Muscs Koublai Khan
3. YSL M7
4. Serge Lutens - Ambre Sultan
5. Chanel Egoiste
6. 24 Gold by Scentstory
7. Amouage Epic Man
8. Amouage Jubilation XXV
9. Bond No. 9 New York Oud
10. Serge Lutens - Chergui
"A beautiful fragrance to the nose is like good jazz music to the ears, great food to the mouth, and Megan Fox and Jessica Alba to the eyes..."
Polo blue or black. Something fresh and upbringing. Also clean shower fresh or chrome legend would do it..
Prada Amber Pour Homme
Well the obvious choice would be Guerlain's Derby! Lalique Equus and Hermes Equipage would also fit the bill.
Edit: ^ aw Duke beat me to it!
Etat Libre d' Orange - Rien
I guess you haven't read "The Kentucky Derby Is Decadent And Depraved"
" Thousands of raving, stumbling drunks, getting angrier and angrier as they lose more
and more money. By midafternoon they’ll be guzzling mint juleps with both hands and
vomitting on each other between races."
"He had done a few good sketches, but so far we hadn’t seen that special kind of face that I
felt we would need for a lead drawing. It was a face I’d seen a thousand times at every Derby
I’d ever been to. I saw it, in my head, as the mask of the whiskey gentry–a pretentious mix
of booze, failed dreams and a terminal identity crisis; the inevitable result of too much
inbreeding in a closed and ignorant culture."
I'd wear Derby. I thought this was a no-brainer, guys.

lmao at backwards southners traditions. lol
I am heading to a Derby party in five minutes, and I figured every guy there would be wearing Derby, so I chose Invasion Barbare. May the odds be ever in your favor.
And in any event, if there's a horse race overrun with rednecks, it's the Preakness.

Let's all enjoy the race and root for the winner to get the Triple Crown. It's been decades since that last happened.
What I was implying was rather that his writing constituted culture (leaving aside most of the product of his later years).
Dior Leather Oud.... so you can smell like the horses' asses. Very appropriate for the occasion, I think.
I'd wear something in-tune with the horse's name(s) I'd be betting on.
LOL - what would you wear if you were betting on:
Continuing with horse inspired fragrances, how about Parfum d'Empire's Equistrius.
"You can ignore reality, but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality." - Ayn Rand
"I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical...It is a medicine necessary for the sound health of government." - Thomas Jefferson
First choice. Eqipage.
Second choice would be 10 sprays of Black Aoud just so I could project beyond the milange of female fragrances omnipresent on all those women with distasteful enormous hats and sickening perfume...
1. Amouage Epic man
2. Dior Leather Oud
3. Perris Monte Carlo Oud Imperial Black
4. Le Labo Patchouli 24
5. Amouage Opus VII
6. Byredo Bullion
7. Masque Milano Russian Tea
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
Hmmmmm, nobody took me up on Leather Oud.
In that case I'm casting one more vote for Hermes Equipage. Smells like old money, so if you are in the infield, that would be the scent to wear.
I wore Creed Royal Delight. It performed beautifully.
And no one mentioned the obvious.. Demeter's Mint Julep. I actually own this one and it's not too bad. Kind of reminds me of mint, sugar syrup and cloves. No idea if that's what a real mint julep tastes like.
