Default You can never have enough vanilla

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a vanilla fragrance which is as potent as Tobacco Vanille and at least as complex as Eau Duelle. Care to recommend any? Benzoin-based fragrances and any other interesting vanilla combos(nutty, aquatic) are fine too. Thanks.

Eau Des Baux by L'Occitane is not as linear as TV. A really potent sweet en long lasting spicy vanilla for a good price.

Guerlain was famous for its complex vanilla notes, from Shalimar (vanillic oriental) to Jicky (fougere) to Mouchoir de Monsieur (similar to Jicky). They are still excellent.

In the oriental amber-vanilla territory, I also like Ormonde Jayne Tolu, a rich, vanillic, slightly animalic oriental.

I'm still in love with Spritueuse Double Vanille's dry down. Until something beats it, that's my go-to vanille.

Not heavy nor loud like Tobacco Vanille, I would say moderate on both accounts.
But lasts as long as the Tom Ford counterpart, whole day.

Complexity-wise, in my opinion it is a more well-rounded Hermèssence Ambre Narguilé.
Some citrus in the beggining, then develops into a spicy-vanilla.

Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille. A woody vanilla, as the name suggests. Lovely stuff, grows on you with repeated wearings.

    Dior Addict, Shalimar, Sublime Vanille.
Dior Addict is a beast with an incredibly loud synthetic note that works somehow. Leans feminine but is one of the best I've found.

Shalimar is a classic that is still beautiful.

Sublime Vanille might be the best blended vanilla ever. Truly a wonderful scent.

Get Dior Homme Intense. That stuff has enough vanilla to glase an ice cream factory with. Horrid stuff to my nose, but it may be what you are looking for.

I like Chopard Cashmir. It is a vanilla-oriental with lots of vanilla with cinnamon, benzoin, and tonka bean.

I second the suggestion to check out Lutens Un Bois Vanille. Rich, beautiful stuff that doesn't get cloying.
