Default I hate to ask but...which of these from Amouage would you choose for warm weather?

I have recently gotten into Amouage. I have Jubilation XXV and Epic Man. Love them both! I personally think that Epic would be good for warmer weather but perhaps not for the timid. Want to buy one more for spring and summer wear. I am torn between Ciel (but not usually a fan of lavender) and Dia (with plum notes which I love).

I hope that those that vote in the poll have both or are at least familiar with both. If you think there is a better choice from this house, please say so. Thanks

Of the two I prefer Dia, but Ciel is more suited for warm weather.

I voted other - I think the best "fresh" perfume from the house is Silver, a sort of eau de cologne centered on rose, with a strange metallic twist. Among the other two, I prefer Dia, I find Ciel too much like a modern sporty masculine, not worth Amouage prices. I have failed to find the interesting urinous (sage) note that Turin likes so much in Ciel, which leads me to believe that perhaps there has been a reformulation. Dia is however rather dark and woody, so it is not exactly summery.

As with all Amouages, it is good to sample the current batch, as some Amouages have been watered down.

Reflection & Honour shine in the heat. JXXV does surprisingly well on really hot days, kinda couldn't believe it; I thought it'd be a cloying monster when it's like 110 out, but it was nice.

The only one I think I'm going to be hesitant wearing in the heat is Interlude Man.

I'm not sure if I'm really picking up a plum note from Dia but with it being springtime my sense of smell is off.

If you get a chance try Opus iii I have a sample and think it'll work very well in summer.

Of the choices, I would pick Ciel. To me it is not an in your face aggressive lavender. But, Beloved Man is really quite stunning, and truly suited for warm weather or just year round for that matter. Beloved is blended so well, I really am unable to pick out notes, although I have only worn it 2-3 times since purchasing it.

Thanks all. I was hoping for a clear winner but clearly there is none. Given that these fragrances are from Oman, a warmer country, perhaps most any scent from this house would be a good choice....

I find Ubar and Gold Man terrific in the heat.

Opus VI, too, but it's more of a commitment - felt very at home in Malaysia but maybe a challenge in the west.

Opus VI feels great here on the East Coast in the U.S. of A the only problem I'm having with it, I'm getting a bit bored.

I have not try both Dia and Ciel, but judging.

But from what I have tried. JubXXV, Epic M, And Lyric M could work in heat.

As a perfume house from Oman, which is extremely hot, I think most of their offering should work well in desert.

    Hmmm...no definative answer.

Of the two scents in my poll there is a tie at this point.

    9 - Ciel
    9 - Dia

And of the "others" the breakdown is also split. I have left the suggestions for Jubilation XXV & Epic Man out since I have both.

4 - Reflection (Some say it smells a bit like Le Male and some say powdery. Don't like Le Male or powder. Pass.)
3 - Honor (Need to sample this one)
2 - Silver (Floral, incense and musk. Must sample.)
2 - Opus VI (I think I have a sample of this I got in SF last year. Must find it and sample.)
2 - Opus II (Not a huge fan of lavender. Pass.)
1 - Interlude (Amber and spice. Sounds a bit like Amber Sultan which I have. Not seeking an amber scent.)
1 - Beloved Man (Completely off my radar! Sounds interesting. Must try.)
1 - Opus III (A yellow floral with vanilla. Not for me.)
1 - Tribute (Damn! I have wanted this but just won't let myself do it!!!)
1 - Uber (Too many flowers. Pass.)
1 - Gold ( On my list for another time.)
1 - Lyric (Sounds amazing but not after a rose scent. Pass...for now.)

So I need to sample a few more and trust my instinct. It may be Dia as my next Amouage!
