Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. Good morning!

Quarry, that picture last night in the SOTD was lovely!

I had to be up at 4am to be at work by 5, but it was made much more bearable by the application of Pivoine Rose by Ava Luxe. I'm sampling this courtesy of the amazing PerfumedLady, and wow is it gorgeous. It starts off all peppery, but a couple hours into it, it's starting to get creamier. It's really an amazing rose. It's very different from anything I have in my wardrobe and the first time I've tried an Ava Luxe. Love!

I'm in Frederic Malle Une Rose this morning. Y'all have a wonderful day!

Oh my, you sure smell gorgeous, elizrj! I know I'm always saying so, but that's my absolute favorite peony perfume in the whole world, and the most authentic I've encountered.

Good morning, everyone! It's a beautiful spring day here, sunny and warm.

Wearing Jo Malone Osmanthus Blossom this morning. This one is different from other
osmanthus fragrances I've tried, but I'm liking it more and more. It isn't quite as sweet
as the Ormonde Jayne, Keiko Mecheri, Hermes or The Different Company, it's a little
more tart and green initially. It's a very nice floral, perfect for spring.

    Enjoy your day!

There are some lovely-smelling BNers today! (tdem and Roberto, you smell especially wonderful!) And lots of roses! It seems spring has FINALLY sprung

I've missed posting the last few days as I had quite a busy weekend, and my mom had (scheduled) knee replacement surgery yesterday. All went well, and today they'll make her get up and move around a bit, but this will so improve her quality of life. Over the weekend, I wore Une Fleur de Cassie, Iris Poudre, L'Eau d'Hiver, and Paris -- I'm clearly sniffing spring, too

Today, it's my most-worn spring and summer "office" fragrance: Daim Blond. I really love this one.

Elizrj, I just want to say congratulations and keep it up! I'm glad you're rewarding yourself in the interim -- it's amazing how looking good can build momentum toward meeting your goal.

Twolf and PerfumedLady, so glad you're feeling better

Damn, you all do smell especially good today.

Thinking positive thoughts for 30R's mom's legs and ExtremeK's mom's knee, I just applied Caron French CanCan.

This a.m. I walked into a spritz of 24 Faubourg before seeing the hygienist -- both she and the woman dentist at this particular practice are into purses, so we had a fun discussion about that subject. Then I went to the garden center to get annuals for the front porch. Then I went to the liquor store to get an assortment of wine for a morning event we're hosting this Saturday. Then some strangers dropped in because a family member used to go to this schoolhouse where we live -- we relish these people who dare to stop in. What a fun day.

Elizrj, I stole that castle scene from our favorite Jon. Some day soon I may have new photos of our kingdom which will rival Windsor Castle, at least in our hearts.

Why, thank you, Jon Rodgers! I know Daim Blond is a favorite of yours, too

Thanks for the positive thoughts, Quarry. Mom is doing very well today, according to the nurses, and she's exhibiting much less pain on Day 2 than most people who have the surgery.

If you ask her, though, things are dire because she got a little hot under the 7 blankets we piled on her yesterday because she was cold and because she's never before felt like she does today. After some good-humored questioning (I'm always the lawyer!), she admitted: (a) she's never had a knee replaced before; and (b) she's never taken hydrocodone before. I submitted to her that those two facts probably had something to do with her feeling a bit odd. I have a big heart, but I'm not much of a coddler.

I would love that Q, because it seriously gets to me when I can't figure out what it reminds me of. I was thinking it was probably Keiko Mecheri Peau de Peche or MDCI Peche Cardinal, but I just tried the Peche Cardinal and I don't think that's it. My Peau de Peche sample is all gone so I can't compare that one. I hope you have better luck than I did. I'll be waiting to hear if you can place what it smells like. Thanks!
