    Default TF Oud Wood strength/application

Recently picked up a 50ml of this amazing concoction in London after having a complete "love at first sniff" experience. Most expensive fragrance I've ever bought, but worth every penny. Can't quite seem to figure out how best to apply it, though. I get radically different comments from different people. I wore three sprays - one to the chest and two to the neck - and my father said I smelled "overpowering," while the same method of application in the same amount was barely detectable by my girlfriend (who called it a "subtle" fragrance).

I'm a little confused here. What are your experiences with TF Oud Wood in terms of projection and application?

It's amazing how different individuals interpret the same same scent's projection.

Im a huge fan of this also. I has moderate projection on me. A date scent for sure. An all season scent. Longevity on skin is not beastly either....however if applied on clothing this bad boy will last days!!! I go two on neck two on wrist and one on shirt.

I get really good longevity and projection with this.

When I go to work: one spray on chest, one spray on back of the neck. Two sprays total.

Non work settings: one spray on base of the front neck, and a spray on each inside of the forearm. Three sprays total.

Exactly right, different people will interpret it differently.

For me, i get average projection and longevity. I do 4 sprays. I get about 6-8 hours.

I'm thrilled I've used up my 50ml bottle. I like the smell but I'd never buy another no matter how cheap. This one didn't last on me at all. Maybe I'd get a hour or so with several sprays. Harrod's Oud is similar but better and considerably longer lasting for me.

It lasts pretty long on my skin but projection is medium to poor. None the less, I love this fragrance of all the TF fragrances, this was the only one I bothered to purchase and for good reason.

3 sprays did all right for me.
