    Good Morning

    Today i am wearing

Quarry, I can't wait to see a picture of your castle

ExtremeK, I must admit, I am impressed. I think knowing the difference between when the person needs that coddling, and when they need a gentle kick in the pants is a great skill. Also having the strength to continue to take care of the person that seriously needs that coddling is very impressive as well... 30Roses I'm looking at you

Today I'm wearing Bakir by Ava Luxe. I put a drop on before I went to bed the other day and was seriously impressed, so I'm giving it a good days wearing today!

Samples from yesterdays trip to town. Trying Rêve Opulent from Terry de Gunzburg's new range. Creamy, creamy white flowers. A gardenia they say. I wonder what those in search of the perfect gardenia would make of this? A must try for seekers on that road.

I'm wearing Crabtree & Evelyn's Lily of the Valley from the 1990s. They've had 2 versions since then but I still like this one best. It's not photorealistic but it's very fresh, and that is the essence of LOTV.

Today is an experiment. With the edema having gone down, Mom's going to try putting on the new regular socks I bought her yesterday-- no compression stockings. I'll check later on to be sure the edema hasn't returned. Now she has back pain that is making it hard for her to tie her shoes, so I've given her back her slip-ons. It's always something....old age is hard.

Your mama is very lucky to have you, 30R. It is good to hear the swelling has subsided in her legs, that seems like a good sign.

Tom Ford Black Orchid today, from a sample. This I don't think I would buy but do like it, glad to have a little bit of it on hand.

Jicky (vintage Parfum de Toilette) by Guerlain

Later on this afternoon I'll put on some Parfum. I've found that wearing Jicky is so wonderful, I don't like to mix it up with other fragrances the same day - it's a real treat to just keep it smelling the same fantastic accord all day.

I also have noticed that I really have to be in the right mood to enjoy this. Some days (I'm not sure if it's skin chemistry, mood, climate) it just really annoys me. Whereas days like today, it feels perfectly right.

Foustie - I've never even heard of that line. From France?
30 Roses - If I lived near you I'd help Momma Roses put her socks on for you. ((Bear hugs))

    Hi all,

SOTD was Flower Market by Lush, for a rainy day back at work. Planning to sample Profumum's Eccelso this evening.

Foustie, l've never heard of that line either, but as a gardenia lover that one sounds worth a try!

Teardrop, mind how you go tomorrow - I just saw the forecast, and it seems that you have some unseasonal gales with potentially damaging gusts hitting your area tomorrow. Do take extra care.

About to attack a four seasons pizza made by my own fair hand maybe a small aperitif too Hopefully there won't be a conga going on in the colon later.

Chanel No 5 bath gel, body lotion, and vintage cologne spray this afternoon. This morning it was Dior Eau Sauvage.

It's been rainy here but everything is lush and verdantly green. What an odd spring it's been everywhere. It has been very cool here. I'm not complaining because when the switch comes -- it will be disgustingly hot.

My best wishes to all. ♥

Enjoyed reading all your posts. Sometimes I forget to note what scent you're wearing as I get caught up in your story lines or lost in the thought of how wise and considerate you all are.

We sure do! I have been admiring my No 5 all afternoon! It is reassuring to know great minds really do think alike.

    Quarry, waving hello.

Guess what time it is here? It's wine o'clock, that's what time it is. A nice, simple rosé d'Anjou with some grilled chicken and veggies. Lemony rice for the Mister because he needs his carbs. All I really need is the wine, but I'll have some dinner, too, I suppose. I don't think we'll get any house hunters this afternoon. They usually call for an appointment before now so I can relax for the evening. I think.
