Default Armani Eau Pour Homme, when was it reformulated?

My latest love affair is Armani Eau Pour Homme (the classic version).

When was this fine fragrance reformulated? Is 2009 April version any good, does it still have oakmoss? How about has it been weakened? Thanks.

Don't know exactly when, but I have the original release in my collection and have smelled what's out there now and I find them both equally pleasant.

Thanks Hednic. I've seen some others saying the same that the differences are not so big.

1999 (long list of ingredients on the box, with both oak- and treemoss)
2009 (long list without OM and/or TM)
    new version: 2013

Thanks Andr. So pre-2009 should be a must buy if one wants this scent with oakmoss.

Seems about right to me. I had 2 bottles from the early 1990s and another bought in 2011. The tops may be similar but the drydown has definitely changed, and not for the better imo.

Yes, and pre-2000 bottles with short ingredient list are even better.
Here'a bottle of old "Armani" splash version from Nineties.

    Presentation

Front box: note the "compact" greenish color (not woody or fabric drawings)

The batch code is almost invisible, you have to twist the bottle to see it.

    Bottle under light

Side of the box with list of "ingredients"

IMPORTANT: the carved/embossed logo on the upper side of the box

and finally, the bottom of the bottle

    other minor observations:
-if you find the "Green dot" symbol on the box, the bottle is after year 1994
-if you find both the "finger and book" and "Green dot" symbols, it's after 2003.

    hope this helps!
    bye,
    Andre

Great! Thanks so much Andre. I'm happy to own one such 90's splash bottle like in the pictures, which i have partly decanted to a small spray bottle. I'm just planning to buy more as this scent is running out so fast, it needs to spray several sprays at one time.

There have been some posts suggesting the latest (2013) reformulation is truer to the original than the previous (2009) reformulation.
I thought I'd revive this post to see if there have been more experiences confirming or rejecting this... any opinions?

As usual: "the older , the better".
use this "calculator" to determine year of production:

Is there a really big difference between the most current 2014 edition and the 2009 one to justify spending 50% more?
I have found 2 BNIB sealed bottles of 2009 and 2008 editions, but the price is almost half more!
