Default Rocabar is so underrated here.

When I tested Rocabar made by Hermes, I thought it was beautiful and stunning.

Rocabar as a designer fragrance has better qualities than most niche fragrances IMO.

I can recommand everyone to try this wonderful scent ifthey have never tested it or never heard of it.

It is not a commercial scent while Gucci, Bvlgari and other designers are promoting every fragrance on TV or magazines.

It is truly a masterpiece IMO.

What do you think about this scent?

More love for TdH, but less love for Rocabar on this forum?

There are older theads on it. Search Tool.

Hermes has a lot of frags. TdH and Eau d'Orange Verte are talked about more for sure..

But wouldn't it just piss you off if your Rocabar became the next Aventus?

There are many great designer scents that pass under the radar of the basenotes hype monster.

Is Rocabar comparable with Joop Rococo Homme? Joop rococo homme is a discontinued fragrance created by the same person that created Hermes Rocabar: Gilles Romey.

Used to own Rocabar. I liked it but didn't love it. Great quality though.

I tested it a couple of weeks ago and didn't like it, although I wanted to. I guess my mind is too good at picking up the incense note and amplifying it. All I could smell was incense.

I don't own it, I only tried it a few times at department stores and I remember liking it.

The top notes are amazing, one of my favourites ever, but very soon it changes into something much more forgettable IMO.

It's the only Hermes scent i like. It's quite nice, actually. Don't own it though but have considered to buy it at some point.

I have a decant of Rocabar and have always found it good. Sometimes when wearing it, it may fall under my radar ( but one can spray a few extra to make up for that). I love the juniper/berry smell in the top notes. Drydown is more settled, but the semi sweet vanilla/cedar accord is nice as well.
Seeking: Bottles/decants : of Feeling Man, Gucci pour Homme, Essence of John Galliano, Nicole Miller (vintage), Opium pour Homme, Oxford & Cambridge...etc.

Seeking decant/sample of Jil Sander Feeling Man, Cacharel Nemo, Bijan for Men EDC, Lanvin for Men, Giorgio VIP, Il Lancetti and other old school frags ....etc. I have samples to swap.

Just could find this by chance, and a good chance! I see that it's wayyyy more rare that I thought.
Whatever, I'm lucky and I like it!

I think I need to reward myself more often. I do crappy work stuff all the time!

To me rocabar reminds me of a fire jolly rancher. Cinnamon blast and cedar/spice with a sweetness behind it. I don't get creamy at all...to me it's a rather dry scent. I like it a lot too...but it's not my favorite from hermes. I'm gonna go sniff it now that you reminded me of it. Lol.
