Back from a quite productive shopping trip, having managed to miss most of the rain. l bought two dresses; one is a maxi dress with a beautiful butterfly design that almost matches my avatar! l tried two of the new Lush perfumes on skin; Furze & Sikkim Girls, which l will elaborate on later in the Sample of the Day thread. l spent my Boots Advantage card points on a 30ml bottle of Acqua di Gioia EDP, & got a free 20ml purse spray with it! Woohoo, freebies make me very happy. So happy that l celebrated with a Krispy Kreme doughnut. Not bad for a rainy Monday!
(((Sfmedusa))) my condolences to your OH.

Hello, everyone. I hope all of you had a good weekend.
Mom is progressing well with her physical therapy -- she's already walking so much better than before the surgery. She's doing so well that if she keeps up this pace, they're going to kick her out of the rehab hospital 2 days early!
It's the first really warm day of spring -- mid 80s F, and its sunny and beautiful out. But I'm a bit down as it would have been my sweet Dugan's 12th birthday today. I miss him.
Thanks again to turquoisewater, I have had the utterly transporting pleasure of wearing Ormand Jayne Woman today for the first time. My goodness, what a beauty this is. And what a surprise to find that warm, amber drydown. Just gorgeous. So now the question of the moment: where can I buy this? Is it even available in the US (besides STC or TPC)?
(((Sfmedusa and OH))) -- please accept my condolences. I'm so sorry.
Jon, I'll echo Quarry in thanking you for the wonderful (and wonderfully evocative) photos yesterday.
---Edit: ok, yeah, I found the OJ website. For some reason, I thought they didn't ship to the US....

sfmedusa, really sorry to hear such sad news - my sincerest condolences.
Mrs Q / ExtremeK, I am something of a nostalgia freak, especially with architecture and vintage transport. Saturdays excursion was tailor-made for me really, though everyone had a ball. (To the UK contingent - I should hastily point out that I have never owned an anorak and am definitely NOT a train spotter - I do have a life).
Mrs E, I'm sure that slogan for the No 19 advert was written with you in mind

A sample of Diptyque Volutes today! Comforting on a cool grey day.
Looking for THE femme fatale scent. If you think there is something I should smell please PM me!
Wearing Profumum Arso and L'Antichambre Le Message Oublié today on a side-by-side comparison... lots of similarity, although Arso is sweeter/woodier and Le Message Oublié is incensier on me.

I woke up with a heavy craving for lilacs. I'm wearing Côté Bastide Lilas, a sample from 30 Roses and burning a new Scentsy scent: Lilac and Violet. The new Scentsy is really nice ... I usually do not like any lilac-scented home fragrance products, but this one works.
SfMedusa, I am so sorry about your friend ...
I've trademarked the color bleu
Science is not only compatible with spirituality, it is a profound source of spirituality. When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages, when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual. ..Carl Sagan

Was feeling like £10000000 all day!
Wearing a new blind buy: Ted Lapidus Silk Way. I like it a lot, I just wish it had better staying power for an edp. Maybe I just need to put more on. lol I'm so used to needing 2-3 spritzes at most. I can't remember all the notes, but it has citron, peach, sambac jasmine, incense, amber, musk, vanilla, cedar and cinnamon. If anyone ever wanted a clean, spicy skin scent this is it.

I send thee this sweet perfume a fragrance to the fragrant, as one would offer wine to the god of wine.

Very sorry to hear your sad news, sfmedusa. Lots of positive vibes and prayers to your friend's family.
Foustie and ErinK, I am with lilybelle on that: I do not even care what they smell like, just give me one bottle of this -- so intricate.
E., Jon is absolutely right -- with you in mind, 100 per cent.
