I think both are great, but I will give the edge to Encre Noire

Eau des Baux. It is more versatile.

I'll give the slightest edge to Encre Noir. Although a toss up in my book, I find vetiver more versatile. I can wear it year-round no problem. Takes on the slightly smoky vibe in the cooler months and inky/rooty in the warmer months.

Encre Noir. Just wish it lasted more on my skin.

They're entirely different animals and about as good in their respective ends of the spectrum.

To me, they are polar opposites. My vote goes to Eau des Baux, it just smells a lot better than EN.

They aren't comparable but simply as a fragrance I prefer EN. The bottle is beautiful too.
