Isn't that the weirdest thing when it happens? You'll have say 4 fragrances on your "to buy" list, that you've been carefully considering, sometimes for months, and you really want to make it count, and then all of a sudden, boom! you buy something equally expensive on impulse with as much as maybe 5 minutes of thought.

This happens to me all the time.

Happened to me on Sunday. I found a LDDM tester for $100 and bought it on the spot, wasn't even thinking of getting it, I was hoping to get Parfums de Marly's Pegasus.

Yeah - people always advise against blind buying, but for me it's pretty fun - but I do wind up with some in my collection that I don't LOVE, but that is just something you have to be willing to accept.

For sure - I have been trying really hard to restrain myself from buying about 10 other fragrances. Then, exactly as you described - out of nowhere, I have a new bottle of something else coming that wasn't even on my radar - or that I haven't even tried.

My blind buys are usually based upon recommendations from BaseNoters whose opinions and taste I respect and am generally in sync with. That said, it's still fun to pull the trigger on something you will in all likelihood enjoy.

Good for you. You won't be dissapointed. I blind bought it and yes it was one of my best moves. I see you got under the wire as only 30 bottles were left sometime last week. Did they say how many bottles still remained?

Me too. Like reading your recommendation on 1899 HDP Hemmingway. Another stunner. I must say I have liked all my HDP offerings.

No, I ordered over the website, and didn't notice anything about the quantity remaining. I remember reading the post on BN about this being a limited run when you bought yours - That's why I pulled the trigger. Now or never!

Picked this up for $45 after shipping, 99% Full. I don't know what to expect exactly, but it seems like it might be a good option for a traditional, citrus/office cologne type of scent. And apparently the longevity is above average for this style.

Congrats! It's a very nice scent. Think you're going to be pleasantly surprised.

Hope that when you receive it you find it was worth the expense and to your liking as it seems to be to TNBLUEMIKE.

Bought a back up of Eaux des Baux and three Frederic Malle candles-- Cafe Society, Russian Nights, and Joyeux Noel. I wanted to get Chez Monsieur, but I couldn't find it on the Barney's website.

I needed my Neroli fix so I used a 20% off coupon for first time buyer at beautybar.com on L'eau de Neroli by Diptyque. I've heard they made a 200 ml bottle but have had trouble finding it. I went with the 100 ml because the only person selling the 200 ml is on ebay and I'm not going to buy a splash for $150 off ebay.
