    No telling how much better perfumes would be if that wasn't the case. The sanitized state that exploded in the mid-80's with things like Green Irish Tweed and Eternity is still going as strongly as ever. Hard to even walk through the average mall anymore.

    I don't know if what she said was true or not - for example, the U.S. is not the one restricting fragrance ingredients "for your protection" and we certainly don't have a culture and history of covering our natural smells with perfumes like Europe does.

    She is certainly a VERY interesting-sounding person and could be described as a polymath. I need to read more about her.
