I have been hearing a little bit about Santal Blush and how some claim that is it really similar to Gucci Rush for men.. The notes look very different besides the cedar and sandalwood.. But I am not going to deny it until I smell it.. The first time I heard this was on youtube on a video review of Rush, and the reviewer claimed that Santal Blush smells exactly the same.. There is not much informartion about Santal Blush so I decided to ask you guys.. Now I love Rush and I have bought Wonderwood which pretty similar but still different.. My favorite part about Rush is the exotic opening.. I love the cypress lavender mix, and the milky lactones that permeate throughout the fragrance.. There is also a synthetic vibe which almost smells plastic like but I love it, and there is a nice earthy mossiness! That is what separates Rush from all these other woody, cedar sandalwood fragrances.. Now if I could find a fragrance that shares a similar opening and than turns into the woody drydown I would be ecstatic.. Wonderwood smells different in the opening but starts to show similarity in the mid and drydown, but it is darker and does not share the creaminess of Rush.. So who has any experience with Santal Blush? Is it similar to Rush? How is it similar? Opening, mid, drydown? If anyone else knows of any other fragrances which resemble Rush that have not already been talked about a million times on here feel free to let me know..

Top notes of... sweat, gasoline, motor oil; a heart of deer musk and gunpowder, resting on a base of sex and testosterone... Mandom.
I have tried the former and own the latter and also find them quite different.
Remember that while it is perfectly acceptable to criticize the content of a post - criticizing the poster is not.
This smells very close to the Rush incense with a little Envy mixed in-
Wonderwood is the closest to Rush, I have both. Santal Blush has a curry note which can be offputting to many.
I have Envy and PZ Sartoriale, and frankly, I find Sartoriale very close to Envy, as in, 85-90% close. This has me wondering, are Envy and Rush similar fragrances?

I find it amazing how we all agree over here .. I am also a member on fragrantica and there is alot of weird stuff going on specifically on the Gucci Rush page.. For months Wonderwood, Sartoriale, and Visit were the main fragrances were listed as the similar fragrances , and than all at once they dissapeared off of the page.. They were replaced with Sandalo by lorenzo villoresi , Bond No .9 Marriage Equality and other fragrances that dont have any similarity.. Mind you Sandalo went from 0 votes to 98 votes over night! I find that impossible , and than on top of it it wont let me vte against these fragrances or to vote for Wonderwood or the ones I feel are similar? So another member and I realized that someone was screwing around with the page and started writing comments about it .. All are comments were being deleted off the page repeatedly and other members, one specifically by the name of "wandaw" started making comments to us telling us we are crazy for thinking a conspiracy like this and cannot impose our will and went as far as to say my rush is fake or my nose is screwed up from drugs because I think Wonderwood is similar and the ones above are not.. I replied back to him and my comment was deleted again.. Something very weird is going on there and I do not like it.. I am trying to get in touch with an adminastrator or something but please check out the page and the comments it is truly out of control! http://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/G...r-Men-693.html

And regarding Santal Blush I had a feeling it wasnt going to smell that similar to Rush when I saw them listing it on fragrantica next to the other fragrances that have nothing to do with Rush .. Yet I keep getting cursed out for saying Wonderwood is similar to Rush .. WOW!
Wonderwood is similar to Rush but it lasts longer, pal zileri, has pathetic longevity. There was a review comparing Wonderwood and Rush by a seasoned youtube reviewer.
