Default good look or not... ripped jeans on men

I'm interested to know what u think of ripped jeans for guys. I met a Swedish girl once who dresses so revealing.. She wore a bra in public with her purse and ripped jeans... Is this a good look for guys too?

Personally don't feel the look is attractive in the least on either gender. Just my opinion. (321)

Google search showed kanye west wearing wripped jeans. Put me off completely. Women look most confident with wripped jeans

They might be better to wear in summer than during winter!

The example you provide is not appealing to me. I think it's because it just looks way too fabricated. Jeans that have a few rips from usage and long wear look better to me. I'd rather buy brand new jeans that are indigo blue and then wear them out over time instead of buying jeans that are pre-ripped.

My thought's are similar to the above...

Somehow the idea of buying "torn" clothing does not appeal to me (call it whatever name to misguide people, to me it's torn)...

Ripped jeans are good for showing a bit of toned flesh. If you've got it there's nothing wrong with a hint of what's under your clothes. Just be aware of where the limits of good taste lie.
I buy ripped and worn looking items as it gives them an instant history as it were. I don't have the patience to wear things out over years.... Life is too short.

Hmmm, trying to picture a guy (Swedish or otherwise) wearing a bra, carrying a purse, and ripped jeans on. No, this would definitely NOT work on a guy, sorry.

Even if my opinion may sound cliched and extremely unadventurous (possibly bordering on too conservative and restrained), unless the male wearer works in showbiz, fashion or very alternative/arty/counterculture activities and social groups, I cannot imagine ripped jeans working to well on a man-but like I said, just in my opinion.

Pre - ripped jeans are for fashion 'victims' only

If you're young and go to a rock concert or work on a building site, etc, and your jeans are a bit torn and patched up, perfectly fine, but I never quite understood why someone would purchase jeans that are pre-damaged.

Perhaps a good opportunity to enquire about something else (hope you don't mind, klimax!), I've found at least half a dozen jeans when sorting through my cupboard, all in lovely condition apart from that they have crotch holes.
Worth buying some of these iron on patches and stitch them together or best to just chuck them in the bin straight away?

^^ Some of them look better?

Depends on how ripped we're talking, and if "distressed" counts.

Not, definitely not!!! Not on anyone though, it's just cheesy and classless. The "worn" look is way out.

Nope, I don't like ripped jeans. It feels like as if someone has worn cheap cloth type.

My all-time favorite pair of jeans now has a hole in the right side where my knee is at. But it's what I describe as an "organic" hole/tear/rip. I don't see a problem with it. As long as they are clean and you can keep them up with a belt. Fair game.

Hell no, for both sexes. Only exception is a manual labour where a rip or two won't hurt, but for show, just don't.

    Just my 2 cents, obviously.

I don't think it's a very good look. Worn jeans are okay, but pre-damaged jeans are tacky.

If you're in your teens or early 20es, sure, go for it.
Once you're a proper adult (whatever that means)... I can think of a couple of grown up guys who can pull it off, but for the majority: NO.

Also, pre-ripped jeans can be really bad. But also here, I've seen cases where it worked. It all depends, I guess.
