Here is a fake for everyone to steer clear from. Don't be fooled by the Z01 sticker. It's not a match to the real creed stickers on the bottom.
The sprayer says 'CPEED' on the top.

FYI, I just returned a fake bottle if GIT to a seller on ebay. 1st one I'd ever come across. It had that outer picture sleeve around the box which was not pictured with the item on the listing.
EBay seems interested enough if a fragrance house complains to them that they are allowing fakes or even decants being sold there with the house's name on it. Also, considering they are ultimately on the hook to reimburse buyers via their Buyer Protection policy, you'd think they'd pay more heed to reports proving the item is a fake.
EBay should ask adam1280 to write a guide on how to spot Aventus fakes. http://www.ebay.com/gds

In particular 75ml bottles?
Not without ruining them.
Why would you want to open it up?
Can you imagine how many fakes would be floating around eBay if the bottles could be opened?
1. Xerjoff - Nio
2. Creed - Aventus
3. Tom Ford - Grey Vetiver
4. The Different Company - De Bachmakov
5. Dior - Homme Sport 2008
6. Montale - Aoud Legacy
7. Creed - Virgin Island Water
8. by Kilian - Straight to Heaven
9. Creed - Original Cologne
10. Clive Christian - 1872 for Men
We'll add this to the Creed sticky in order to keep the info. together.
Hi folks, i recently bought an aventus decant (3 weeks ago), it was good kinda smell like the sample i previously tested, i was quite enjoying it and i was already thinkin of buying a bottle, Today i wanted to spray some but i noticed a foul smell when i took the cap off, it smelled really bad it made me sick, im still trying to forget that smell. Has anyone had a similiar experience? the decant smelled good, and now its like rotten fruit or something, i sprayed it and noticed it doesnt have the same power as 3 days ago, what is going on? could it be the bottle? thoughts anyone? thank you
I've had bad experiences with a few samples provided to me in small plastic spayers if not used within a day or two of being decanted—Aventus was one of them. I much prefer, and request, glass vials when sampling.
this one is a glass vial tho, it smells awful friend. I dont think ill buy a bottle its scary spending 150+ on a fragrance that could end up smelling this way.
Who decanted it?
a guy on ebay, good reputation,
Strange. I've never had anything go bad in a plastic atomizer.
Hi edsex - we'll move this to the Creed Queries thread.
Perhaps the glass vial had a contaminant in it and the fragrance reacted with it. That might have been the same situation with my plastic samples. I have had three fragrances in plastic sour on me,whereas I've had none in glass take that route yet.
I saw a video where a creed boutique associate said the 4oz bottles of GIT are polished with black sand from the beaches of Greece so if you hold the bottle at an angle in the light you should see a sparkle.. like a glittery affect. It was on an episodeof street scents.
My apologies upfront if this topic has been covered at length before.
I recently purchased a small bottle of Aventus and loved it. No complaints whatsoever with the scent. But the longevity and sillage are virtually nonexistent on my skin. After an hour, tops it's barely even a skin scent. I then decided to try some Creed decants. Green Irish Tweed worked a little better, but Silver Mountain Water and MI performed identically to Aventus. It's very frustrating, as I enjoyed all of them, especially Aventus. But when the smallest bottle costs $165 and I get zero performance, I can't justify the price. Had anyone else experienced the same?
On a similar note, my recent purchase of Tobacco Vanille has proven just the opposite. It's a monster on my skin, and I think it's reasonably priced based on quality and performance.
