Here is a fake for everyone to steer clear from. Don't be fooled by the Z01 sticker. It's not a match to the real creed stickers on the bottom.
The sprayer says 'CPEED' on the top.

They reposted the listing, LMAO.

FYI, I just returned a fake bottle if GIT to a seller on ebay. 1st one I'd ever come across. It had that outer picture sleeve around the box which was not pictured with the item on the listing.
EBay seems interested enough if a fragrance house complains to them that they are allowing fakes or even decants being sold there with the house's name on it. Also, considering they are ultimately on the hook to reimburse buyers via their Buyer Protection policy, you'd think they'd pay more heed to reports proving the item is a fake.
EBay should ask adam1280 to write a guide on how to spot Aventus fakes. http://www.ebay.com/gds

In particular 75ml bottles?
Not without ruining them.
Why would you want to open it up?
Can you imagine how many fakes would be floating around eBay if the bottles could be opened?
1. Creed - Pure White Cologne
2. Creed - Aventus
3. Tom Ford - Grey Vetiver
4. by Kilian - Straight to Heaven
5. Clive Christian - 1872
6. Montale - Aoud Legacy
7. Xerjoff - Nio
8. Neela Vermeire - Bombay Bling
9. The Different Company - De Bachmakov
10. Chanel - Allure Homme Edition Blanche
We'll add this to the Creed sticky in order to keep the info. together.
Hi folks, i recently bought an aventus decant (3 weeks ago), it was good kinda smell like the sample i previously tested, i was quite enjoying it and i was already thinkin of buying a bottle, Today i wanted to spray some but i noticed a foul smell when i took the cap off, it smelled really bad it made me sick, im still trying to forget that smell. Has anyone had a similiar experience? the decant smelled good, and now its like rotten fruit or something, i sprayed it and noticed it doesnt have the same power as 3 days ago, what is going on? could it be the bottle? thoughts anyone? thank you
I've had bad experiences with a few samples provided to me in small plastic spayers if not used within a day or two of being decanted—Aventus was one of them. I much prefer, and request, glass vials when sampling.
this one is a glass vial tho, it smells awful friend. I dont think ill buy a bottle its scary spending 150+ on a fragrance that could end up smelling this way.
Who decanted it?
a guy on ebay, good reputation,
Strange. I've never had anything go bad in a plastic atomizer.
Hi edsex - we'll move this to the Creed Queries thread.
Perhaps the glass vial had a contaminant in it and the fragrance reacted with it. That might have been the same situation with my plastic samples. I have had three fragrances in plastic sour on me,whereas I've had none in glass take that route yet.
I saw a video where a creed boutique associate said the 4oz bottles of GIT are polished with black sand from the beaches of Greece so if you hold the bottle at an angle in the light you should see a sparkle.. like a glittery affect. It was on an episodeof street scents.
My apologies upfront if this topic has been covered at length before.
I recently purchased a small bottle of Aventus and loved it. No complaints whatsoever with the scent. But the longevity and sillage are virtually nonexistent on my skin. After an hour, tops it's barely even a skin scent. I then decided to try some Creed decants. Green Irish Tweed worked a little better, but Silver Mountain Water and MI performed identically to Aventus. It's very frustrating, as I enjoyed all of them, especially Aventus. But when the smallest bottle costs $165 and I get zero performance, I can't justify the price. Had anyone else experienced the same?
On a similar note, my recent purchase of Tobacco Vanille has proven just the opposite. It's a monster on my skin, and I think it's reasonably priced based on quality and performance.
Hello everyone, long-time lurker but first-time poster,
I recently purchased Creed Aventus from Neiman Marcus (Fort Lauderdale). The scent smelled absolutely like an "ashtray" to which even the Creed Specialist on duty confirmed was "overly smokey". I requested another bottle and it was a more of a fruity scent (pineapple/apple) yet had the same batch number as the previous ashy, overly smokey batch. Can someone provide insight as why scents smell differently yet are supposedly from the "same batch"??....
Hi & welcome crypto !
We'll merge your thread with our Creed Queries thread.
hey guys i have a quick question about my bottle mine is a 2013 batch i believe , the word CREED on the front of my bottle is in black while on some pics around the net the words arnt painted in black ? is that normal was the bottle changed a while ago or something ?
Came across this, It looks like a fake to me, I already have a bottle but I like to know how to spot a fake. This is looks like it to me.
If they have good feedback, odds are it is legit.
We'll transfer this to the Creed queries thread in order to keep all of the info. together.
I've bought creed for many years now and every bottle took 3 pumps to get the first spray out. Today I bought a bottle of OV...it is completely filled to the top yet it sprayed immediately. Has this ever happened to you ? I find it hard to believe it would have been sprayed given how high the juice is. It's a 2013 bottle, would you be concerned?
I've always had to prime the Creeds I purchased as new. As long as the sprayer works and it smells like OV then there's nothing to worry about. Matter of fact you probably came out with more juice so that's a plus.
It's definitely real because I got it from the Creed Boutique. This is just the first creed I've gotten that sprayed after one shot. I'm just asking if that means if was definitely used.
Maybe someone else in your home used it?
If it hasnt been used yet, thats not suppose to happen.
Remember that while it is perfectly acceptable to criticize the content of a post - criticizing the poster is not.
Mean spirited, nasty, snide, sarcastic, hateful, and rude individuals don't warrant or deserve other individuals' acknowledgement or respect.
I've never bought a bnib box bottle that did not need to be primed. I don't have any creed bottles though. Does the atomizer come off? If it doesn't, maybe it was a return and they repackaged it.
I recently bought a small bottle of GIT from frangrancenet and I'm not concerned about whether it's genuine, it smells great. The problem I have is that the bottle absolutely reeks! (not badly, just seriously emenates the smell of GIT). I've kept it inside the Creed box and on my shelf and my entire bedroom absolutely smells sooo strongly of GIT, how can this be? Is there something wrong with my bottle or something? It has been like this for about a week now since I received it. I love the smell but I only want to smell it when I spray it!!! The room smells like someone poured an entire bottle of GIT out on the ground.

a) Sprayer got depressed before you took it out of box and got inside of the Creed box.
b) Sprayer cap not on correctly and when you try to depress it to spray it, it sprays AND leaks out from 'inside' the spray cap area.
c) Faulty sprayer that was manufactured wrong thus causing leakage when attempting to spray
I dunno though.
I've had this happen a couple of times with legitimate bottles cellphone wrapped. Nothing to worry about.
Top 5 current fragrances:
1. Creed Cedre Blanc
2. Tom Ford Costa Azzurra
3. Bond no 9 Montauk
4. Creed Green Irish Tweed
5. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
We'll merge this with the existing Creed Queries thread for future reference.

Sounds like my recent experience with Fragrancenet a few weeks ago. I picked up Original Santal, and the bottle was completely full...but both box and bottle were kicking out some serious fumes. I actually had to throw the box out in the garage, my house was starting to smell like Santal.
The bottle was completely full and does not appear to be leaking in any way.
I don't understand why it's smelling so strongly even still, and I haven't even sprayed it since Friday but it's still filling my room with strong GIT smell.
I'm worried if there is some kind of air leak that's letting out the smell, won't that mess with the juice and age it prematurely or something?

Talked to a Creed SA.
Supposedly Creed infuses their boxes with the scents that come in them so you get the full experience of the scent.
Customers have reported to 'layer' different boxes together to give a room a distinct aroma to add a touch of personality when you walk in.
I'm just kidding. I made that up.
I'm not sure why the box smelling good is such an issue, lol. If it gets too strong stick it outside.
It was a tester that came wrapped in bubble wrap. So the Fragrancenet.com box was dry....but smelled big time out of the Santal. I put the box in my garage and come morning when I leave for work....you guessed it, a garage smelling of Santal. I have since pitched the box in my garbage can, I'm sure that smells of Santal as well.
But I have to say, all official carded Creed samples I ever got do came with the cardboard sleeve heavily scented. NOT the scent of the sample inside, just some very nice smelling stuff. I'm not a Creed fanboi, I got over that years ago when I discovered much better fragrances, but I have to say - if Creed was to sell the fragrance they use to scent their sample cardboard sleeves, I'd probably buy a bottle. If not for anything else than a room spray - I'd buy it.
Great info on spotting Creed imposters. Is there any advice on spotting fake flacons? Do such exist?
I just bought an 8.4oz Creed Flacon from Fragrancenet.com I spoke to their Fragrance buying dept personnel and she said that they have a partnership with the manufacturer and sell only authentic Creed fragrances manufactured by Creed.
Still then. Any advice on checking Flacons?
As far as fake flacon's.. I couldn't imagine a counterfeiter faking the entire glass vial when all they have to do is fill up an empty one.
Which makes me curious as to the intentions of buyers purchasing the empty bottles and flacons on eBay... unless they really are purchasing them for presenting in a collection..
Recently I received a 4oz Aventus from Fragnet. Once I got it and took a close look at it, I was 97% sure it was fake. I know that Fragnet is a trusted vendor on here which is why I ordered from them in the first place. That's why it was weird to me that the bottle had so many flags when compared it to legitimate bottles on here. Here's some pics of what threw me off.
The atomizer in the pic seems much shorter than the taller ones I've seen here on BN. Also there is no steel ball in the sprayer.
The 'o-ring' is smaller, and also not white in color.
No 'CREED' on cap.
Batch/lot number pretty much invisible, the only thing actually 'etched' in the glass is one letter (the X from X01)
The box has 'misspellings' that were said to be on fake boxes. "Absolues" instead of "Absolus" and "selectionnees" instead of "selectionnes"
With intent to return this bottle, I ordered one from the boutique. It turns out the bottles are identical in every way. I know that Fragnet's bottle is real now but can anyone explain to me why these two bottles are different than the other creed bottles I've seen? I thought for sure the lack of white under the spray cap was a give away..
