Default 'Fruity' for a teenage girl

I'll buy a fragrance as a gift for my teenage niece and she said 'fruity' when I asked what she likes. Any suggestions? I was thinking of perhaps...Womanity Eau pour Elles - Mugler?

farang there is so much fruity out there you can have your pick! Is there a note she likes for example apple, berry, citrus? I was thinking if you Jo Malone has quite a good selection of fruity scents and because they encourage you to layer their fragrances you could build her a little collection over time. Do you have access to the range? Maybe take her to the counter and have her try some?

So the syrupy inclinations of teenagers are not unique to the States.

At least, try to steer her towards decent examples of the genre. Womanity is great, but I'm afraid it could be a shock if she expects berry and finds musky, salty fig. Jo Malone has the advantage of being fleeting, thus minimizing cavity damage.
What I consider good fruit include Kenzo Flower (melony floral) and Calyx (which however is currently unavailable, waiting for the rerelease under Clinique).

Several examples in niche, but this seems beyond the point for a teenager (Feminite de bois, 1969, Visa, etc)

Thanks, Cacio and Kewart. I'd like to find something not too challenging since I don't think young girls would like this. But I also want the fragrance to stand out and be something that not all her friends have. I am not able to sample Mugler here, but I thought perhaps the Eau pour Elles might be 'easier' than the original Womanity...?

I'll check out the fragrances that you have recommended.

I wouldn't blind buy Jlow or Spears. Try first for sure, but they are really synthetic smelling to me.

    My fav fruity sweet scents:
Dior Addict - vanilla and berries
Guerlain Petite Robe Noire - bright cherry
