    Default Patou pour homme question

I've seen three forms of PPH: After Shave, Cologne and Eau de Toilette. The volume of alcohol is 55 % vol. in After Shave, and both in EDT and Cologne something like 85 % .
So my question is : is the Cologne and Eau de Toilette the "same juice"? I read somewhere that Patou only named the bottles that went to American market as "Cologne" (probably for marketing reasons, in order to maximize the sells in U.S.)

The Patou Pour Homme 3oz. bottle I have says Eau De Toilette, not Cologne. Wasn't even aware there was a cologne strength. Mine was purchased within the US when it first came out.

Wow. Thanks for sharing. It must have been for the US market, because I've been searching this one out for many years and never found a shop in Europe that had a cologne version for sale.

I am also not aware of a separate cologne version of PPH.

My guess is that you are right - the EDT was marketed as Cologne in the U.S. to make it sound more familiar and comfortable to American men.

I've seen several bottles labelled this way on eBay and also suspected it was something to do with labelling in the US. Not sure how you could find out definitively, though.

Same. I've owned a lot of bottles of it and studied a lot about Patou pour Homme. Never seen or heard of an EDC.
