Default Looking for an aquatic-peppery masculine scent

    Hello guys.
I' m looking for an aquatic-peppery fragrance, maybe with ginger too.
Actually, I really don' t like the main aquatic fragrances, as Acqua di Gio, Cool Water, Aqua Motu, Rem ecc...
And I don' like peppery scents, like Bang, Piper Nigrum, ecc...
But, for a strange reason, I really like the combination of aquatic and pepper mixed together. A bit of ginger would be a plus.
Can you please suggest me some perfume with these aquatic + peppery notes ?
    Thank you,
    Bye
    Marco

Perhaps Eau Libre by Brecourt or L’Homme Cologne Gingembre Yves Saint Laurent

My fave is Bulgari Aqua. Just perfect peppery aquatic, IMO.

Unlike you (and despite the fact that we appear to have the same first name) I don't like the combination at all. That said, if you want to spend some money, Histoires de Parfums Ambrarem is a pepper blast over an aquatic base (though it does contain also a mineralic amber).

Give a chance to Ormonde Man. It's not exactly aquatic but it has a transparent-airy vibe throughout that might fit your bill.

    Perhaps Hummer H2. It's aquatic, it's spicy, it's peppery.

Nice to know. I almost blind-bought it, but hesitated. Think I'll go through with it next time!

L'Artisan Navegar: aquatic pepper. Strange scent.

    EDIT: Plus it's got ginger.

For what it is, it's really rather good. It doesn't have that very generic smell that so many aquatics have, I'm not sure but I think that would be the calone that it lacks.

Actually, that is what I was thinking too. A little too woody to be aquatic, but it does have a similar feel to what what might be sought.

I would also suggest giving a look to Eight & Bob

I get both a peppery and aquatic note at the same time from fragrances like Quasar by J del Pozo, and, on the even more affordable side: Agua Brava Sea Power and Carlo Colucci Uomo Mare.

    Cartier Déclaration d'Un Soir

Not really a big fan of Cartier as a whole...but this one is super good. Pepper up top and a clean/aquatic thing all the way through.
It's probably the only pepper frag I would wear. Bang has turned me off to pepper - yet strangely I get a craving once a year.

Pepper and aquatic don't really go hand in hand, at least from what I've tried. The closest thing I can think of is Armani Code Sport...It's actually a nice designer fragrance and one of my go-tos. It's got a nice peppery burst that can be attributed to the ginger/mint/citrus on top and vetiver/amber in the base.

Blind bought Déclaration d'Un Soir and couldn't be happier. Peppery rose with a woody background. I don't find it particularly aquatic, but its definitely peppery. It's a unique, minimalistic scent with above average longevity/projection (and its a big hit with my girlfriend). Again, not an aquatic, but it is fresh nonetheless.

Edit: One more thing. To me it falls more in the romantic/sexy category and not in the sporty scene aquatics tend to be associated with.

Through its judicious use of immortelle notes, Turquoise by Olivier Durbano gives an impression of peppery/spicy sea water. A great fragrance.

Surprised this hasn't been suggested yet but here goes: Burberry Beat for Men. Its citrus and violet notes give me an aquatic vibe, while the pepper and wood notes meet the peppery quality you're looking for.

the old bvlgari aqua used to be exactly that. it has been damaged for years though.
