Thread: What would Cruella De Vil wear?
From 101 Dalmatians? Think about the original Cruella De Vil from the book and, in my opinion the best and only adaptation that counts, the 1961 film.
The book is from 1956, and the film is from 1961, and from the look of the film it seems Cruella lives in the 1950's, so that is the time frame.

Chanel No 5
I probably need to explain this to the OP. Normally these threads are done with the intent of eliciting fragrance knowledge, campy humor, and witty or intelligent responses. Matching the fragrance style or name to the personality of the subject in a smart or humorous way counts more than historical accuracy - particularly for people who didn't actually exist!
I take it that you're actually interested in historical accuracy - a fragrance from that time that a real person with a similar personality might wear?
I would probably ruin the story by making her surprising and give her a humorously innocent side. White Shoulders - because it was cheap and sold with the image of a certain sort of Middle-American naivete and purity. One could probably make a lot of fun with that!
Someone suggested me she would've worn Zibeline by Weil, which I agree with and think is a clever choice. So what else would she have worn? It doesn't have to be a joke, and people don't need to participate if they don't want to. I was asking for real.
Shocking - Elsa Schiaparelli?
Remember it well
Thank you - will try to apply the sleepy brain & think of some more!

Chanel Nš 19
Behemoth cut a slice of pineapple, salted it, peppered it, ate it, and then tossed off a second glass of alcohol so dashingly that everyone applauded.
Another Bandit image-
Oops, Fracas! Well, that means "big trouble" so I guess that works, too.
POISON by Dior ...now that's wasup...suited to the T for her ....
Btw, if any ask why she would wear this one over all suggestion, just look at the name ...self explanatory ...

"Thank GOD for the nose, for without it we would not be enjoying these beautiful created Scents"
Anything dark, classic and heavy- by the way, love the Deneuve pic. But what actual fragrance can this be? Possibly some of the most civet-laden Guerlains, they seem to somehow fit (at least in my opinion) what this character makes me think of, something shamelessly leathery, animalic and somber.
probably something by chanel, and 20 sprays of it.
or something that would destroy the ozone layer
