Default Terre d'Hermès - Three Versions?

I know there are probably hundreds of threads discussing this frag, but I just noticed something last week, and when I searched basenotes for it, nothing came back...so I'm starting a new post ^_^

So when ordering from Hermès last week, I noticed that there are three versions of Terre d'Hermès that they have listed on their website:

    http://usa.hermes.com/perfumes/men/t...mes-12262.html

1.) Terre d'Hermès - Pure Perfume (first image, mouseover to reveal the description)

2.) Terre d'Hermès - Eau de Parfum (third image, again mouseover to reveal the description)

3.) Terre d'Hermès - Eau de Toilette (fourth image, again mouseover to reveal the description)

So are 1 and 2 the same?
Or is 2 a true EDP version of TDH?
Is this just a website / marketing mistake?

I just noticed that if you actually click on the third image, at the top it says "Pure perfume" -- which is the exact same thing it says for the first image if you click it....so I'm thinking this is just a website mistake / wording problem here, and 1 and 2 are actually the same juice...but that's just an assumption at this point.

    Thoughts anyone?

Again sorry if this has been discussed before.

Also, only familiar with the Pure Parfum, and the EDT both of which I have. Never have heard of an EDP.

So the conclusion is that number 1 and number 2 are actually the same thing, and it's not a true EDP correct?
Man they are so confusing...I don't see how they can call the same product two different things O_O

Yes I think one and two are the same, with the exception of bottle design.

    According from Hermes website.
There are Pure perfume , EDP and EDT

Never heard the EDP version before. Maybe they got confused?

EDT smells more like the air, EDP is closer to the dirt - in terms of composition.

This was written 25th November on Premium Beauty News:

"Gourmand notes are also infusing intense flavours into men’s variants (1 Million Intense, Mont Blanc Intense…). Claims for strong, vivid scents driven by Eastern markets should be confirmed, in particular with the “fragrance” versions of Terre d’Hermès by Hermès, and Fahrenheit by Dior, soon to be expected."

Their English is a little mangled, but according to them a new version of TdH is just around the corner.

That 3rd bottle is a limited edition H bottle. Its the same thing as the regular "pure parfum" version, except has a "LE" bottle design. Shame on Hermes for the confusion on their own website. Rest assured there are only 2 versions of the juice.

    Wow, wrong thread...sorry. ROFL.
Ignore the part about Moshen / Universal Cosmetics that got sent out in the email to you all who subscribed.

    Real post:

I thought it was determined that the TDH sport was fake a long time ago..?
EDIT: I see now it was supposed to be a sarcastic post -- my mistake. Being so stressed out at work and with moving, it's hard for me to pick up on these types of jokes lately...sigh. Hoping things will level out in a few weeks.

Totally agreed. I'm selling my "pure perfume" version and stocking up on the EDT. The EDP is just not a work fragrance, it's maybe a night out fragrance, but it lasts sooo long, and is too strong IMHO.

Yep the Sport is a knock off, hence the - Thought its interjection here was amusing and appropriate.

If you're going to get rid of your EDP you should decant some and attempt to layer it with the EDT, I think 2 sprays to the chest of EDP, wait and then do 2 of the EDT will create a really nice composition and round out the notes of both fragrances without being too overpowering.

Pretty funny, the more and more I use Epice Marine, the more it seems to me like a 'TDH Sport'

Anyway -- good advice about layering the two...It worked out better than I thought; tried it on friday and I wasn't overwhelmed by the 'EDP' since I did the chest...nice Thanks.
