Hello everyone, I hope some kind person can point me in the right direction
I have 2 bottles of vintage perfume which im wanting to sell (I have just found them in an estate sale)
First Bottle is Christian Dior Diorissimo Eau De Cologne Ref 9404 still in box in the original cellophane wrap and christian dior stamp in exceptional condition (40'S OR 50's i think)
2nd Is Maxfactor Electrifique Perfume Cream, (which i know is the very first type of perfume they ever released) its from the 1950'S Again complete in the cellophane wrap totally unopened and intact.
3rd is just a small Parma Violet bottle but stands on an art deco peacock ornament from the 1950's (cant find this on anything)
Any suggestions would be appreciated WP_000520.jpgWP_000522.jpgWP_000524.jpgWP_000526.jpgWP_000527.jpgWP_000528.jpg
Hi Ebay was my first call it doesn't have these items on so no idea as to what to list them for :-(
Well, you could just try starting an auction & let the market decide their value.
Failing that, google might turn up some bottles for sale on websites.
Welcome to Basenotes willow040406.
When you do an eBay search, click Worldwide and Completed listings. What's for sale now doesn't help much; knowing what items actually sold for or and what was priced too high to get any bids is better information. The items listed in red didn't sell. The items in green did.
I agree with lpp: use eBay. If you try to sell it online some other way it is customary for persons with little or no written feedback for exchanges on the website to send the item first, and wait for the buyer to receive it before being paid. With eBay, you'll be paid first.
Craig's list is an option but I wouldn't use it to sell anything. There have been too many recent news stories about sellers being robbed, or worse.
Another option is just to use the items yourself.
+1 for Ebay. You lucky dog!
Someone has a gift set of the Dior Gift set..
They are asking for $175
They also have a mini in the gift set
The bottle is 2.0 oz..
I would start the auction at $150..
Maxfactor released that scent in 1954..
1 on Ebay-it does not say perfume cream-just parfum
90%full at $63.48- 2.0 oz
I'm not an expert. Diorissimo appears often on ebay, so if you are patient, you can check what they sell for (as socalwoman was saying, you should check what sells, not what people ask for). Diorissimo is excellent and much diminished in the current version, so it could sell well. However, it is not as rare as other Diors like Diorella or Diorama, that go for much more. Is it a 4oz? I think too that it'll probably go for more than $100, though not sure how much more. Also, I'm no expert on vintages, but if it has cellophane on it, I wonder if it's really 50s or 60s. Perhaps a little later? In any case, it's vintage, and that's enough.
