Default Himalaya for $86. Worth it?

I just blind-bought a 4 oz. bottle of Creed Himalaya from Beauty Encounter for $86. I've never smelt this frag before, let alone any Creed, but I couldn't resist a deal this good. I have a solid experience with fragrance and am in my teens. What should I expect?

If it's authentic then it's a steal but if a fake then you're getting robbed..do your diligent homework on source of were you are purchasing from, if a credible contact ....then a great buy.......enjoy

It will likely be authentic, but hopefully it will have been stored properly for most of it's life.

Very good price. One of my very favorite fragrances - very versatile and professional. But, as Tony points out, not very good longevity.

Probably the safest blind buy Creed has ever produced.

I feel like, with Himalaya, that there's a great fragrance inside it somewhere, but it's lack of projection and longevity (especially for a woodsy fragrance) really hurts it. still worth owning, esp if you can get it on discount like you did

$86 for a 4.0 oz is a very good deal though. Essentially, the price of a designer frag. It's a much tougher sell at the standard $140 grey-market price or the inadvisable $330 retail price.

i'd disagree. no blind buy is safe. and while this is one of the least risky creeds, its also one of the most unimaginative. millesime imperial would probably be a better blind though.

$86.00 for 4.0 oz Himalaya is a great buy. Not a Longevity king but I would not hesitate on this one. Beauty Encounter is a very reputable outlet so no problems there.

How is it $86? I saw $115 on their site. Even with 20% off first time order, it's not $86.

That's a good price. It's a good fragrance, very soapy and clean with some sandalwood.. it's probably the cleanest smelling fragrance I have tried. I personally don't have any issues with longevity, it lasts all day on my skin. It's also great for cold weather, it really does seem to suite sub zero temp days.

    It's a bloody steal!
Great in the summer or winter.
Fresh and cool in the beginning, rich and smooth on drydown.
    Weak sillage but decent longevity.
Works for young and older guys.
Girls (women) I know seem to like it.

At it's rrp I think it is overpriced to the point of comedy but if it's worth a purchase it is at the price you quote (if it is a legitimate deal)

Himalaya was a Deal of the Week all last week (ended yesterday) for $114 plus they had a coupon for 25% (MYFAMILY25) on certain items (excluded Chanel, Dior, Gucci and a couple other smaller brands) but for some crazy reason Creed wasn't excluded. So when it was all said and done, it turned out to be $86 with free-shipping. Awesome deal I know, just wanted to have some opinions on the overall scent because I have heard quite a few negative comments on it (boring, generic, sketchy longevity and projection).

Himalaya is a solid scent. Signature scent worthy imo. Very clean, soapy, and pleasant. Good longevity too. The bottle alone is worth it.

Not worth it to me, but if you don't like it you should be able to sell it and get your money back.

I would suggest Paco Rabane XS for around a third of that price, and I actually prefer it. One other comfort is that the likelihood of a counterfeit is far less with XS.

Fantastic price for a lovely, fresh scent. Himalaya is one I reach for when I am not sure what to wear. It never lets me down, great fresh fragrance.

I didn't mean it literally silly. It was more of a statement that the bottle is gorgeous.

So I just received it today and not only is it genuine it's a batch from 2012 (not that the older ones are bad because I've heard creed's smell better as they age). Batch code is A3912M01. Anybody know how the 2012 batches compare to others in scent, longevity, exc. At first I thought it smelled just ok as I wasn't a fan of the strong metallic/gunpowder vibe but as it dried down it disappeared fast and I started to really enjoy it. I have a feeling that this frag will grow on me over time. At this moment I'm glad I got such a good deal on it because at this moment I don't smell anything that blows it away from all other designer frags and makes it a "Creed".

You got a good deal and you can always sell on if you don't like, perhaps at a pofit.

I agree with a previous post stating that full retail price is a joke for a fragrance that is dull, unimaginative and lasts but 30 minutes. Actually the lousy longevity might just be the best thing about it........

    Great price.

Not my favourite Creed. It's not a patch on Millesime Imperial or SMW which are in a different league imo. SMW is two scents and works really good in Winter and Summer in different ways.
