Default New from Kerosene in December: Red Blanket

Kerosene will shortly be launching the unisex Red Blanket

"As the cold wind kisses the back of your neck, you pull up your collar, and walk into the wanting night. Red Blanket surrounds you with a magnetic warmth of red berries, florals and incense. The smouldering, sweetened scent draws you in and invites more than the wind for kisses upon your shoulders."

Notes of Raspberry, Apple, Bourbon, Rose, Teak, Incense, Benzoin, and Oud.

This bottle design will be used on all his fragrances:
"Introducing the new Kerosene bottles! Gone are the colors. It was getting campy for me to have each scent being a different color. These bottles were purchased from France and have a heavy, solid feel to them. I am still painting and plating."

Not much of a fan of this house. If I see it I'll try it though. Thanks for the info.

Sounds like it could be really good. The only experience I have with the line is Santalum Slivers, which I like a lot for summer.

I am really impressed with Kerosene - I will certainly give this one a try. Thanks for the info! Not in Fragrantica yet, or on his website yet. But I will keep my eye out for this one.

I wonder whether this will be traditional or indie like the rest of the line.

    Thanks, furrypine - nice website.
A standard tin of nine samples shipped to here works out @ £39.00 which is O.K. but might deter many of us who might prefer to try some of the range at a lower cost.

I really enjoy unknown pleasures. The list of notes sounds interesting. Not to heavy on the incense please!?

Kind of sucks that he had to delay it, but it really is entirely out of his control. I feel bad for him...that must really suck :/.

HA! Ironic that he changed his bottles because he thought they were campy, but he names his newest product Red Blanket.

Not a fan of the 'House', but wish him luck!

    LMAO!

Only speculation on my part, but it sounds like a bit of a reference to Indian trade blankets, e.g., Pendleton blankets, which are important in the art world.

    Great essay here: http://www.chihuly.com/colorful-exch...ts_detail.aspx

Still an important business for Pendleton, actually: http://www.pendleton-usa.com/thumbna...23/pc/1816.uts

I will sell every last fragrance, even my Polo Crest, before I part with my Navajo blanket! (Which is red and black, mostly.)

Also wishing him luck. I remain a huge fan of R'oud Elements - every fan of M7 should own that one. If you like M7, you'll love R'oud, IMO. I respect his other works, but I'm waiting for one that tops R'oud, because his stuff is not cheap.

Artistically, I'm most blown away by Whips and Roses. That is wild stuff.

I will have to try this one - no doubt about it.
