Default Morocco good for fragrance shopping ?

    Hello.

I was curious to know if anyone has been to Morocco and is it an interesting place for fragrance shopping ? I assume oils/attars can be bought but I wouldnt expect them to be of quality or any better than the USA.....true or false ?

Will I find Amouage or Ajmal etc. in Morocco ?

Thank You for the information. Also any information on traveling with liquids through Spain/Morocco would also be appreciated.

I dont know if I am going but this might inspire me to do more research on the topic.

I was in Morocco in 2000 before the restrictions on carrying fragrances on airplanes. I bought 2 fragrances in Fes in the souk and 4 in Marrakesh on one of their major shopping streets. I don't remember buying any niche scents there, mainly hard to find scents back in the US which were inexpensive. A few of the French houses are represented there mostly in Casablanca and Rabat, but I honestly can't remember which ones. I'm sure a lot more are represented since I was there. I can't answer the question about Amouage or Ajmal. Sorry.

Probably not the niche & if so they'd be priced exclusively as well.

You'll find a lot of oils & attars.

I wouldn't give a second glance to anything below $100 per tola.

    for swap/sale:

Les Parfums du Soleil are worth checking out. You can find them in Casablanca, Marrakech or Tangier.
Abderrazzak Bencha‚bane, their nose, has worked with Yves Saint Laurent - just to give you an idea where he is coming from.
