Default Anyone try Mont Blanc Legend Special Edition?

I was trying to get the original but came across the special edition instead? Im not really sure what I think of it. At first I like it but them it simply just smells to chemically to me. Just wondering what your take is on it.

It's not a bad scent, but rather "synthetic" - but it's been a crowd pleaser while I wear it.

But then again, what modern composition isn't filled to the brim with aroma-chemicals now? Fresh start, wears well... I like it for what it is. Not bad at all.

Agree. There are a lot worse out there.

There's been two different Special Editions. 2012 and 2013 - minor tweaks between the two. Personally, I can't smell the differences,
but folks have said that the bergamot in 2012 was a tad bit more pronounced than the ginger and mint which were more pronounced in 2013.

    I have the 2013 edition.

I have the 2013 version. if someone who has the original legend and smelled the 2013 special edition can give me a detailed explanation on the difference between the two and the similarities. thinking if i should spend the money for the Original or just stay with the s/e if theres not a big difference

I have a sample of I guess the original. Might try it out tomorrow. Does it actually say Special Edition on it?

Between you and I, I'd almost say that the Special Edition smells slightly better than the original. The ginger and mint comes through a bit more clearly - it was enough for me to skip the original edition and actually buy the Special Edition. I never really liked the original, not enough to buy the full bottle. Special Edition wore different enough to warrant a purchases.

If there's a difference (to me there is), Special Edition wins in my book.
